Welcome to Duluth, new and returning students! Get acquainted, or reacquainted, with the city and the Northland by following the Duluth News Tribune on a variety of platforms.

We have podcasts, email newsletters and a handful of social media accounts for you to be informed about the community.

One of the easiest ways to do so is by subscribing to our weekday news podcast, the Duluth News Tribune Minute. Hear the most important news of the day, including weather and sports, from around the Northland in under seven minutes. You can tune in Monday through Friday at duluthnewstribune. com or wherever you get your podcasts. During hockey season, which is pretty much a yearlong thing up here, the News Tribune airs a weekly University of Minnesota Duluth hockey podcast, the Bulldog Insider. In that podcast, we interview players and coaches and get to know what they are like away from the rink.
And while you’re on your phone checking your school email account, why not have the local news delivered directly to your inbox? We have a handful of email newsletters curated by reporters and editors, including the Bulldog Insider, a behind-the-scenes look at UMD hockey with reporter Matt Wellens, and the Weekly Wave, which contains the tops news stories, photos and videos of the week as selected by executive editor Rick Lubbers. You can sign up for the Weekly Wave and the Bulldog Insider newsletters at duluthnewstribune.com/ newsletter.
For those who prefer to get their news through social media, we have you covered there as well. Our Instagram account, @ duluthnews, features some of our best photos and videos from assignments around the region. While our grid may be pretty to look at, our Instagram stories contain breaking news alerts and engage you in conversation with polls and questions. We also like to see how you’re exploring the Northland, so be sure to tag us or use #duluthnews for a chance to be featured on our account. You can also follow us on Facebook, facebook.com/ duluthnews, and on Twitter, twitter.com/duluthnews.

Most of our reporters have their own Twitter accounts so if you’re looking for just sports, arts and entertainment, or outdoors news, here’s a few to follow:
