Free Range Bronze Turkeys
DukesHill’s free-range Bronze turkeys are reared especially for us by two outstanding turkey farmers based in Shropshire and Kent.
Our Kent turkeys are sourced from third-generation turkey farmers. The family-run farm has been rearing turkeys for forty years. The turkeys roam freely in grassy paddocks and meadows of the family farm and are fed a natural cereal-based diet to allow a happy and natural lifestyle. Our Shropshire Bronze turkeys are reared exclusively for us by Rosie Wadlow. Rosie’s Great Grandmother started rearing turkeys on her family’s Shropshire farm during the Second World War. Imbued with the same passion, her daughter Dora (Rosie’s Grandmother) was aged just seventeen when she went on a trip to Canada and spent all her savings on Bronze turkey eggs to bring back home, becoming the first person to rear Broad Breasted Bronze Turkeys in the UK.
