At Knightsbridge School, we are proud to welcome families from all over the world into our vibrant, inclusive community. We will respond quickly
We encourage you to book a tour of the school if you are in the UK. Alternatively, our registrar will be delighted to arrange an online meeting to help you learn more.
We will need a copy of your child’s school report and a reference from their current school.
Depending on your child’s age, we may invite them for an assessment and an interview with a senior member of staff.
05 Offer & Visa support
We will check all visas are in order. If your child is accepted, an offer letter will be issued and you have three weeks to accept or decline.

EAL (English as an Additional Language) at Knightsbridge School
Our English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme is built on the belief that every child should feel seen, heard, and understood from their very first day. We don’t just teach English as a subject; we provide the “keys” your child needs to unlock their full potential and find their voice within our community. Whether they are an absolute beginner or just need help refining their academic writing, we meet them exactly where they are.

The Knightsbridge Difference
Full Extracurricular Access: By hosting EAL sessions during school hours, your child remains free to join our extensive range of after-school clubs and school trips. This is often where the most natural language acquisition happens, through sport, drama, and play.
Measurable Progress: You will receive a detailed progress report half-termly. We constantly assess our pupils to ensure the support remains beneficial and evolves as their fluency increases.
Achievement alongside Confidence: Beyond fluency, grammar and vocabulary, our priority is your child’s happiness. We work tirelessly to ensure they have the confidence to make friends, contribute to lessons and feel like a proud member of our community.

Process
1.Declaration: Please share your child’s current English level during the initial application.
2.Assessment: For pupils entering Year 1 and above, we conduct a friendly in-person or online meeting to understand their specific needs.
3.The Offer: If EAL support is required to help your child thrive, this will be discussed at the offer stage as a condition of enrollment.
We provide individualised support to help children from different academic systems adapt quickly. The UK education system is structured into stages based on age and development. At Knightsbridge School, we guide pupils through the Early Years, Primary, and Secondary phases:
• Early Years, ages 3–5: Nursery and Reception classes focus on social, emotional, and foundational skills through the EYFS curriculum.
• Primary Education (Juniors), ages 5–11: Children follow Key Stages 1 and 2, studying core subjects like English, maths, science, and humanities.
• Secondary Education (Seniors), ages 11–16: Pupils work through Key Stages 3 and 4, concluding with GCSE exams in Year 11. These include core subjects and a choice of additional options like languages, art, or history.
