Welcome to Hampton Court House and to our third annual careers and universities fair! This year, we are delighted to welcome students from Radnor House School as well as our own pupils, to listen to speakers from the Creative Arts, STEM and Psychology industries as well as the Charity sector among others We hope you will find them interesting and engaging, and that they will help you form your own career choices over the next few years
As you move towards the world of work, you will be facing some unique challenges, from the development of AI to the loss of some traditional career paths However, it is also a time of opportunity as you will be at the forefront of the exciting changes in the ways we work and live Whatever you choose to do, you will be contributing to that new, innovative, and exciting world
Today offers an opportunity to not just listen to our speakers, but to ask questions about how they reached their goals and what advice they may have for those just starting out Please also take the opportunity to visit our exhibitors in the theatre to discover more about the range of careers available and the universities and other organisations that can help you get there

Russell Trafford-Jones is a Broadcast Technical Manager at Techex, with a specialism in televising live sports and online streaming After graduating from the University of Warwick with an MPhys and becoming a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET), Russell began his career at the BBC in the central control room, supporting programmes such as Match of the Day, Children in Need, and BBC News He later moved on to major events like the Euros and World Cup, and most recently served as a key technical planner for the Olympics coverage at TNT Sports Alongside his technical work, Russell also runs a YouTube channel, Broadcast Focus, where he explores vital topics in the media and entertainment industry, including diversity, technology, and environmental sustainability
One piece of advice: Every job you see depends on dozens you don’t look below the surface.
Rhiannon Evans
London Air Ambulance

Rhiannon Evans is the Schools and Youth Engagement Lead at London’s Air Ambulance Charity She specializes in careers related to healthcare and medicine, as well as roles within charities, fundraising, and outreach Rhiannon joined London’s Air Ambulance Charity in October 2017 with the goal of building engagement with schools and youth groups across London She regularly visits primary and secondary schools, as well as youth groups, to educate young people about the charity's lifesaving work and the various roles within its team With over twenty years of experience in the charity sector, she has previously worked at Young Enterprise, Career Ready, The Start Up Loans Company, boarding schools, and other smaller organizations She holds a degree in Modern History from the University of Oxford
One piece of advice: Keep in touch with your peers and people you meet as you never know when those contacts might be useful in your future career.

One piece of advice: You don't need to have everything figured out before university Just make sure you're doing something you enjoy.

Hannah Yelland is an actress who works as a self-employed professional, specialising in acting, particularly theatre She began her career in 1998 and gained 10 years of experience in various TV shows, including Poirot, Dalziel and Pascoe, and Catherine Cookson’s The Secret (in which she played the leading role), as well as many other well-known drama series Her West End debut was in 2003, playing Daisy in Daisy Pulls It Off This was followed by many national tours and a major role in the Chichester Festival Theatre’s production of Nicholas Nickleby (as Kate Nickleby), which toured to Toronto and the West End This theatre revival also featured her father, also an actor, playing opposite her as her uncle, Ralph Nickleby (2007/08) From 2009 to 2014, she played the lead in Kneehigh Theatre’s Brief Encounter, which toured the UK, the US and Broadway, earning her a Tony Award Nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role in 2011 She also played Hermione in The Winter’s Tale and Olivia in Twelfth Night for the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, DC and worked with The Studio Theatre and Arena Stage (Washington, DC) She starred in the original production of Joseph O’Connor’s adaptation of My Cousin Rachel (as Rachel) at the Gate Theatre in Dublin, and in its subsequent revival at the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, USA, all between 2012 and 2018 She studied English Literature at St Catharine’s College, Cambridge University, graduating with a BA Hons (CANTAB)
One piece of advice: Trust your instinct; always contribute your ideas to the room – they are valid –and be a great team player.
Matt Bunn is a Director at Dramacube Productions, Lead Talent Agent at Rotten Orphans, and also works as an actor His expertise spans theatre, TV, film and radio
He trained at Arts Ed School, Middlesex University, and Guildford School of Acting His performance career includes four West End productions, national tours and work on BBC Radio 4 He was awarded Best Youth Theatre Director in Surrey and recently completed filming a new Netflix docuseries titled The Talk Show Effect, set to be released in 2026

Anna’s 20+ year career spans across various industries, and the diversity of her professional experience enables her to create innovative and relevant solutions for Globant and its clients She started her career in the Oil and Gas Industry, where she was leading stakeholder engagement and business process transformation on one of the largest transformation programmes in the history of business globally She then worked as a management consultant for a leading consulting firm in the UK, where her clients included the BBC, Thomson Reuters, BP, and the UK energy regulator Ofgem among others Prior to joining Globant in January 2022, Anna served as an Executive Vice President for Strategy and New Ventures in a global boutique merchant banking and strategic advisory firm
Anna is also a strong advocate for Diversity and Inclusion and for using technology to make a positive impact on society Her passion for social change has been featured in Forbes as the Ambassador of the Be Kind Tech Fund, which invests in startups, whose products and solutions mitigate the negative impact of technology on humankind
Anna was recognized as an Inspirational Woman by WeAreTechWomen UK in June 2023, due to her passion for championing women in the male-dominated space of tech Her work on supporting development of talent and her authentic leadership are making an impact across the entire ecosystem of Globant & beyond Outside of work, Anna is a fitness and wellness enthusiast (a former gymnast and dancer), a passionate mentor and coach, who takes great fulfillment from helping people throughout their personal and professional life
One piece of advice: follow your passion, set clear life goals, be bold, make audacity a habit and always BE KIND. Ask for things 99% of people never do - doors open for those who knock. Knock louder.

Jessica Boath is an Energy Markets and AI Data Scientist at SSE plc, specializing in STEM with a particular focus on maths and IT Her experience highlights include visiting renewable energy sites and attending exciting conferences, such as the Everywoman in Tech conference and awards in March 2025 She holds a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics
One piece of advice: If you are interested in tech, rather than aiming for a certain position, focus on what you enjoy within the field. This will guide you to your perfect role – it probably doesn’t exist yet!
Karina Bonnin
Creative Advertising F5
Karina Bonnin is an Advertising Creative at Ogilvy Health London, specialising in creative copywriting and conceptual thinking After moving to Scotland to study creative advertising, Karina won a D&AD student award which led to internships at several top agencies She’s since worked on global campaigns for brands like Amazon Prime Video, Nutella, Irn Bru, Persil, Magnum, Knorr, Pfizer, and more creating everything from radio ads and TV commercials to posters and stunts She holds a BA in Communications Advertising from California State University, Fullerton, and an MSc in Creative Advertising from Edinburgh Napier University in Scotland
One piece of advice: Progress in anything comes from the doing. Not just planning. It’s better to do something imperfectly than to overthink and do nothing at all. Start the essay. Record that YouTube video. Send out your photography portfolio. Most people hold back out of fear, so the starting already makes you stand out.

Laraib Saeed is a Psychology teacher at Hampton Court House, with expertise in both GCSE and A Level psychology Her professional background includes working as a research assistant on a project focused on emotion regulation in adolescence, as well as experience as a health worker supporting patients dealing with substance abuse involving drugs and alcohol Laraib holds a Psychology BSc with first class honours from Royal Holloway, University of London, and completed her PGCE (Secondary) at the Institute of Education (UCL IOE)
One piece of advice: Your identity isn’t fixed — it evolves. So should your career. Give yourself permission to grow, shift and reinvent as you discover who you really are.
Mariella Andrade Careers in Languages LG5
Mariela Andrade is a Modern Languages Teacher at Hampton Court House Her area of specialism/expertise includes Teaching Modern Foreign Languages to Secondary school students and Modern Foreign Languages Course Design Her experience includes teaching in Colombia; teaching English for Academic Purposes to Engineering and Medicine students at university; being selected by the British Council to take part in the Teachers Exchange Program; 27 years teaching in the UK (Spanish, French and German at secondary schools); teaching in Germany (Spanish to adults); Head of Spanish and Head of MFL Department She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages from Universidad del Atlántico, Colombia, and a Masters degree in MFL Course Design from Universidad del Norte, Colombia

Eve Blackwood is a self-employed freelance animation workshop provider, working with various employers including the Edinburgh International Film Festival and HM Prison Saughton She was an editor with BBC Post Production from 2001 to 2009 in London and Bristol, and has been an author with Laurence King since 2019 Her areas of specialism include children’s TV, the Natural History Unit and documentary work
Her personal achievements include being selected for Bloomberg New Contemporaries in 2001, with Chris Ofili praising her film, a nomination for a Scottish BAFTA, and exhibiting at a series of international film festivals Her professional highlights include being commissioned by The Scottish Chamber Orchestra to make a film with inmates of a high-security prison, working on award-winning BBC children’s TV shows such as Something Special (which won RTS awards) and Green Balloon Club (which won a BAFTA), and contributing to Planet Earth During lockdown, she spent time writing a book on pencils with one of her best friends Eve holds a BA in Illustration & Animation and a PG Dip in Animation from Edinburgh College of Art, as well as an MSc in Electronic Imaging from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art
One piece of advice: Develop the habit of saying yes.

Olga Sedova is a Data Science Engineer at Dianomi, specializing in mathematics and data science She began her career as a university lecturer and researcher at Saint Petersburg State University the second largest and oldest university in Russia where she taught and developed mathematical models to simulate how metal structures behave and deteriorate over time, such as gas vessels corroding, bending and collapsing She later transitioned into the IT industry and now works at Dianomi, creating machine learning models that help select the most useful or interesting content to show people online When you see an ad, there's a chance her algorithm chose it for you She holds a Master’s equivalent in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science (2013) and a PhD in Mathematics and Physics (2016), with research focused on the safety and lifespan of industrial structures Her career spans over 10 years in scientific research (with 50+ scientific articles), more than 7 years in software development (including Python, Radiation Propagation, Finite Element Methods, and AI) and over 3 years in machine learning
One piece of advice: If you’re curious and like solving puzzles, STEM is already your thing you just don’t know it yet!
