It often did not welcome us into formerly male-only territory or celebrate our contribution to traditional women’s arenas. What helped us navigate the shifting terrain at the personal, professional, and political level? How did
10 | FRIDAY, APRIL 15, 2016
Weekend Schedule, Saturday/Sunday our experiences at Duke prepare us—or not—for the fluid fastchanging world of these past five decades and contribute to who we have become today and how we plan to shape the next decades? Designed as an opportunity for everyone who attends to tell pieces of her story as a woman and listen and learn from classmates, this session invites participants to reflect together on the collective patterns made on those shifting sands by the Duke women of 1966. A light reception will follow in the East Duke Parlors (East Duke Building, which connects via a breezeway to the White Lecture Hall).
