What’s changed in their lives and at Duke since the original photos, told in their own words, will accompany each picture. Through their stories and images, we’ll take a glimpse at the history of the University and the people who have long been a part of it. The Meyers An archaeologist couple who came to Duke in the 1970s made waves for their excavations of ancient synagogues. Carol, Mary Grace Wilson professor of religion, and Eric Meyers, Bernice and Morton Lerner emeritus professor in Judaic studies, retired together from the University in 2015 so they would have time to do things together, which included teaching in Rome last year. They both maintain offices in the religious studies

Senior Resident Superior Court Judge Orlando Hudson permanently barred Duke from suspending junior Ciaran McKenna over sexual misconduct claims, The Herald Sun reported Tuesday. McKenna sued Duke last year, alleging that the University mishandled rape allegations against him in the student conduct process. Senior Amy Kramer was elected as the undergraduate Young Trustee Tuesday. The young trustee election went to an instant run-off format because none of the four candidates won a majority of the vote. 30.1 percent of voters ranked Kramer first, followed by senior Chinmay Pandit with 27.7 percent.
