During Volunteer’s Week in Wales, we celebrated all our incredible volunteers who support Diabetes UK Cymru – we couldn’t do our work without your support! We featured some of our most prolific volunteers throughout the week.

This year we launched a series of Live Well Hubs in Wales. Our Live Well Hubs are one-stop shops that provide information, advice, and support to help improve the health and well-being of the local community.
This year we were incredibly grateful to be the chosen Charity of the Year for three organisations, Wales Young Farmers Club, Spire Cardiff Hospital and Cass Haywood LLP. They have all been raising money in lots of fun and exciting ways, find out more about the challenges that have been keeping them busy so far this year below.

Michael's parents said, ‘We are over the moon that his colleagues are doing the walk in Snowdonia for Michael, he would have been so proud that he was so well thought of and loved’.
Ellie Lane, 23, from Mumbles in Swansea is on a mission – to share her experience of diagnosis, living with type 1 diabetes as well as the challenges she faces also having Downs Syndrome.
