Get your quote early in the process – it’s never too soon to get a removals quotation! Our quotes are valid for at least three months, plus our experienced surveyor will be able to offer invaluable advice to help you on your moving journey. Prepare for your removals surveyor
Before your survey appointment it’s really useful to have an idea of what you will and won’t be taking with you to your new home.
Take some time to identify any objects you think may require special attention, maybe a fragile mirror or a dinner service. Our surveyor will advise you on how to safely pack these, or explain how we can pack them for you!
For larger items that were originally flat-packed, try to remember if they were built in the room or carried in assembled. This will help us identify any dismantling that may be required.
Finally, if you have a loft space, make sure our surveyor can access it for a quick look – it’s really important they can see everything you want us to quote for.
Your quotation
Once we’ve completed your survey we’ll provide a comprehensive quotation detailing all services required, including levels of Extended Protection Cover. Our quotation will include details of how we can complete the move for you and what volume we’ve assessed it to be.
Any special requirements discussed during the survey will be noted (i.e. any dismantling of furniture) as well as our terms of business, so you can see exactly who will be responsible for what.
Acceptance and feedback
Once you’ve received our quotation we always want to know what you think. Of course it’s good to know whether you’re happy with the quote, but we also want to know if you have any other feedback, too!
If you do choose to accept our quote we’ll fix your price for an additional three months, meaning you have a total of six months’ peace of mind that at least one cost won’t change.
Boxes and packing
We know packing can be stressful, but we can make things easier by providing all the packing materials you need, from boxes to bubble wrap. We can even save you the burden completely with our professional packing service!
If you’re doing it yourself, we’d recommend starting to get items you rarely use packed as soon as possible. The loft and garage are good places to start, as these are usually areas that you can pack up whilst not interfering with your day-to-day life.
Surplus contents
Whether you’re downsizing or just wanting to take a fresh approach to furniture in your new home, there may be items that you would like to sell or clear out as part of your move. Our auction services will be pleased to assist you, and an experienced valuer will be able to take a look at any valuables, from coins and jewellery to art and furniture. If any items are not suitable for sale, then we can dispose of them for you through charity or recycling. Nothing we recycle goes to landfill.
Booking your moving date
We know that by the time you get to this point you’re really ready to get into that new home! As soon as you have a date in mind, let us know and we can advise on our availability. When you’re ready to book the big day, we’ll talk you through the quote again and discuss our other service options to make sure you feel confident in achieving a smooth move! 7
Prepare for your removals day
We know you’ll have a lot of things to think about on moving day, but we’ll give you all the information you need to ensure you’re as ready as you can be when we arrive. What you’ll need to do will depend on the service you selected, so remember to refer to our services card. If you’re self-packing, make sure all items are boxed, sealed and ready for loading before we arrive. Any surplus items we’ve arranged to recycle or sell at auction can be collected before your move, so you’ll feel like you’re making some progress – and some space for all that packing!

Moving day!
When we arrive the first thing we’ll do is make sure we’re parked in a safe place. The Foreman will introduce themselves, and ask you to show them around and point out any items that require specific care. We’ll also take note of any special information, items we need to dismantle and anything not to be moved out.
If you are purchasing your property on move day, make sure you know where and when to collect your keys. Keep an eye open for delayed transactions, as we usually base our quote on starting to deliver to your new home at 1:30pm.
Post-move
Once you’re in, depending on what services you’ve opted for, we’ll be able to help with unpacking any items you need us to, as well as reassembling any furniture that we dismantled for you – because sometimes it’s nicer not to have to do it yourself!
Where possible we will collect used boxes to be recycled for you, otherwise these can all be recycled via your local recycling centre or refuse collector.
Feedback
Once our team has finished unloading your final boxes it’s time to get settled into your new home! When you’re ready to take a break from any unpacking and decorating you’re getting stuck into, we’d really appreciate any feedback you can give us.

How does storage work?
A surveyor will calculate the volume required for storage and quote a weekly price based on the space you need. Your quote will also include insurance as standard, for extra peace of mind.
As long as you’re happy with the quote, we’ll arrange a date and time that suits you to collect your belongings. Our secure storage containers are brought to your property on specialist storage trucks, then packed and loaded by our removals team with a full inventory. The containers are then sealed and shipped to our secure warehouses, where they are carefully stacked and monitored for the duration of their stay.

Your storage account will be set up on a simple, monthly payment system.
Once you are ready to have your possessions returned, your containers are loaded onto our trucks, delivered to your chosen address and unpacked. It’s that easy!

Our mattress bags are made with 30% recycled materials and are 100% recyclable, whilst our boxes are made from 100% recycled materials that we’ve collected and repurposed. Even our transit blankets are made from 95% recycled materials, the remaining 5% is the yarn that we use to hold the blankets together.
