Location of the bath and ambient conditions
Location of the bath and ambient conditions
• Ensure all packing material has been removed.
• The ambient temperature of the laboratory should be controlled within the range 19 to 24°C. A laboratory temperature higher than 24°C will impair the performance of the cooling system.
• Locate the bath on a flat clean surface with sufficient space around the bath for ventilation: - Fan on the rear – requires 120mm (5”) clearance - Fan on the right-hand side – requires 120mm (5”) clearance
• Ensure that the location of the bath is not in the path of direct sunlight and will not be affected by draughts e.g. air conditioning system
• Ensure that the bath is level, if necessary adjust the height of the feet
• Ensure the location is free from vibration

100mm (4”) Minimum ventilation space around the bath

Ensure adequate ventilation is provided to the right-hand side of the bath (fan for cooling)
Min 120mm (5”)
Ensure adequate ventilation is provided to the rear of the bath (fan for cooling)

Min 120mm (5”)
Ensure sufficient ventilation space is provided at the rear of the bath as well as on the right-hand side. Inadequate ventilation will cause damage to the bath.
