Instrument does not power up Check the fuses in the IEC mains socket Fuses

No heating Check fuses on the heater board Fuses

No cooling Check cooling is ON (MAIN MENU) Main display

Unstable bath temperature Check bath liquid level – top up if necessary to highest level Check stirrer is operational Check that there is sufficient coolant in the reservoir

Check the heating % on the main display – it is less than 10%: Check ventilation on RHS side of bath – the cooling fan must have 120mm of clearance so that the warm air from the cooling system is expelled. Check cooling % - displayed on Peltier Control Interface Board.

Cooling regulation If necessary increase the cooling %. control

Low heating % (Displayed on main screen)

Low coolant level Check adequate ventilation behind bath as well as on the right-hand side.

The coolant circulation (i.e. pump) will be stopped if the liquid level is too low.

(Check LED on Peltier Driver Board –if LED is RED => error in the cooling –check liquid level)

High Cooling % A high cooling% may indicate that the Peltier elements will need to be replaced.

Lights and stirrer not working Check fuse on 24 PWR position on Main Control board

Red LED - Error In the event of an Error the RED LED will turn on and an audible alarm will be heard. The error message will be displayed on the OLED screen: TCR error – bath heats up beyond the temperature cut out setting on the TCR
