461. Pediatrician for the Day

Your child will have the opportunity to spend the day with pediatrician, business owner and Duchesne alum and mom, Dr. Shilpa Pankaj. The student will have the opportunity to shadow Dr. Pankaj and learn all about a “day in the life” of a physician during a full day in clinic at her mother-daughter owned private practice, Peekaboo Pediatrics (in the Houston Heights) where she sees pediatric patients of all ages. Dr. Pankaj will also teach them the basics of a pediatric physical exam, how to read pediatric growth charts, and the structure and content of a physician’s note. Student also may be able to shadow Dr. Pankaj as she rounds on newborn babies in the hospital. Date to be mutually agreed upon and valid through March 4, 2024. Student must be 12 years old and up to date on all vaccinations.
