For one unforgettable evening, the historic Teatro della Pergola will become the stage for Les Ballets Russes à Florence, a ballet gala that celebrates the groundbreaking vision of Sergei Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes, the early 20th-century company that redefined classical ballet and ignited a new era of artistic collaboration. Exemplifying the revolutionary artistry of the Ballets Russes in its synthesis of diverse artistic and cultural traditions, audiences will be transported to the dawn of modern ballet with two masterpieces: Les Sylphides, Michael Fokine’s poetic reverie set to Alexander Glazunov’s orchestral arrangements of Frédéric Chopin’s most stirring music, and selections from Raymonda, Alexander Glazunov and Marius Petipa’s dazzling showcase of classical virtuosity.

A spectacular celebration of three legends who helped shape the sound of jazz. Experience the magic as the New York Jazz Sextet led by trumpeter Dominick Farinacci, along with special guests, bring to life the rich musical legacy of Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong and George Gershwin
This show will dive deep into the genius of Ellington while honouring the centennial of Armstrong's Hot Five and of Gershwin's iconic Rhapsody in Blue with a specially commissioned new arrangement. Spoken word artist and poet Orlando Watson will act as your MC and you can expect an engaging blend of music, tap, song and storytelling that will transport you to the heart of the Jazz Age.
