MASKS, GOWNS & FACE SHIELDS NEEDED Dear Community Members, The spread of COVID-19 continues to affect our area employers, most significantly our health care providers. Disruptions in supply chains and increased demand is creating a need for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for our health care workers. We are reaching out on behalf of our medical providers to request donations of N95 masks (example at right), gowns, and face shields. We are asking not only our business partners and employers to donate but are also requesting they share this request with their employees and social circles. Our hospitals and clinics have serious need for this equipment in order to protect the health care workers who are on the front line of this pandemic. Above all else, we as a community can help care for those who are caring for us. The staff at Crescent Community Health Center, Grand River Medical Group, Medical Associates, MercyOne Dubuque, UnityPoint-Finley Hospital, and the EMS personnel who support them are our family, our friends, and our heroes through this endeavor. If you, your staff, or your business would like to donate this protective equipment and support our health care workers, please contact Tom Berger at the Dubuque County Emergency Management office at (563) 589-4170 (office), 563-543-4170 (mobile), or Tom.Berger@dbqcoema.com in order to arrange a safe pick-up or drop-off of your donation.
