Variable Term Share Certificate Special Rate: Minimum amount required to open any Special Variable Term Share Certificate is $50,000. The dividend rate and annual percentage yield (APY) may change. The APY is accurate as of the last dividend declaration date. The dividend rate on the account is based on Prime Rate as listed in the Wall Street Journal on the last business day of the prior month minus a margin of 2.25%. The dividend rate is subject to change on the account monthly. The dividend rate will never be less than the rate of the certificate at date of opening. The dividend rate will never be more than 2.00% over the rate of the certificate at the date of opening. Dividends begin to accrue on the business day you deposit non-cash items (for example, checks). Dividends will be compounded semiannually and will be credited to the account semi-annually. Dividends on your account will be credited by adding the dividends to the principal. The annual percentage yield assumes dividends will remain on deposit until maturity. An early withdrawal will reduce earnings. 2 To be eligible for Thank Use you must be eligible for Dupaco membership and meet campaign eligibility requirements. See details at dupaco.com/ThankUse.

FULL SERVICE CREMATION $1800 Hello Tri-States, my name is Jason Schumacher and I’ve been a funeral director in the area for almost 20 years now. I was not only born and raised right here in Dubuque, but I was also blessed to be given the opportunity to return home to raise my family after college. I’ve been fortunate enough to discover, and implement, the exact gifts which the Lord has given me to help others. I cherish every opportunity to serve those who are having some of the most difficult days of their lives. I’ve found that with sincerity, compassion, professionalism and an honest goal to truly make a difference in people’s lives, that ultimately there cannot only be some recognizable and tangible satisfaction in the lives of those whom I serve; but also in mine as their caretaker. After 20 years in the business, I’ve seen many changes occur in the methods we are using to honor the lives of our loved ones. For decades, the Tri-State area had consistently embraced a very traditional set of cultural norms to say “Farewell for Now” to our loved ones; and our family, friends, co-workers and neighbors always knew exactly how to respond. But, what I’ve been witnessing over time is a much more diverse response to saying good-bye to our dearly departed. I’ve seen many families switch to an all-in-1 day concept (instead of the traditional 2 days), I’ve found many more families opting for cremation services, and I’ve found even more families choosing to gather with their family and friends at locations other than church. Now, as a funeral director trying to navigate these new and ever changing waters, it has become very apparent that something has changed; not only in the country as a whole, but definitely right here in God’s country also. The rates of cremation as an acceptable alternative to traditional burial have been increasing yearly and recent reports from the National Funeral Directors Association state that we are currently utilizing cremation as the preferred option in over 50% of our funeral
services nationwide, with the projected trends continuing to rise in the future. So, the issue has been how to find balance within the two worlds of traditional funeral service and cremation services; and I think I’ve finally found the answer Tri-States! For the families who still want to have a traditional viewing in a casket for their loved one, the funeral homes will continue to offer the best services available. But, for the families who are wishing to utilize the option of cremation within their services, we’ve created a brand new offering which will completely redefine how we look at saying good-bye to our loved ones forever. With the creation of the Tri-State Cremation Center, anyone wishing to have a public visitation, memorial service, celebration of life, graveside service, or a private family gathering can continue to do so at a very affordable price $1,800.00. You can still have a visitation and memorial service at your church, you can still have a celebration of life at any location you choose, you can still gather with your family and friends and have a formal receiving line to greet folks, or you can just simply mingle informally with those who attend your event, you can still go to the cemetery for your committal, you can still have a funeral dinner served or catered, you can still have beautiful flowers on display, you can still have us write a wonderfully unique and personal obituary as a testimony to a life well lived, you can still put together photos and memorabilia which represent your loved one’s earthly journey, you can still do absolutely everything just as before as long as being embalmed in a casket for public viewing is no longer a desired necessity in your services. We will simply take care of your direct cremation for you, complete all of the necessary permits, authorizations, and death certificate filings with the state and social security, assist in the composition of a uniquely personal obituary, assist you in arranging the perfect memorial at church or another location
for your loved one and provide you with an urn, register book and memorial envelopes. We’ll also help you make arrangements with your cemetery, florist, caterer/restaurant, military and monument company, and finally return your loved one’s ashes directly to you in a very nice Marbeleon Urn which is perfect for both public display and burial (or a scattering urn is also available if you wish). We are honored to be able to make all of these arrangements with you right in the comfort of your own home and if you prefer, we can also be physically present for any of the services you have, for a small hourly fee, if you are more comfortable with a little further assistance. Now, that is a very simple explanation of what our vision is. We invite you to call us anytime at (563) 663-1096, or email us at helpyou@tristatecremationcenter.com with absolutely any questions you may have, and please feel free to visit our website, www.tristatecremationcenter.com, for further information. We are also proud to be able to offer a 5% discount to all of our active/retired military, police and fire personnel who use our services. And for the businesses and clergy out there who would like to participate in our new service; please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have a church, a venue for gathering, a restaurant or catering service, or any other information which you would like us to make available to our families to use as we assist them through some of these most difficult times. In closing, thank you very much to everyone who has allowed me to earnestly serve them in the past and please know that we are looking forward to a wonderful future of continued service at the Tri-State Cremation Center, where honesty, value and service meet! God Bless,
