An expat who has lived in Dubai for more than half their life has witnessed the country’s transformation from a barren wasteland to a hub of technology and industry. It is valuable to be a part of a country’s progress.
Dunstan Paul Rozairo, a Sri Lankan native residing in Dubai, feels that life should be lived while one is still alive and that one should offer others the same opportunity. We should not judge others for their decisions since we all make mistakes. People should do anything they want in life as long as it makes them happy and does not damage others.
Dunstan is a Mechanical Engineer by profession and has served as the Managing Director of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Obaid Thani Al Maktoum’s Private Office since 1998. For the previous 33 years, he had been assigned to supervise and execute various multi-million-dollar projects in Dubai. Before then, in Sri Lanka, he attended St. Mary’s College Dehiwala. He earned a Diploma in Engineering from the Department of Education Sri Lanka and an Engineering Technology Diploma from the Polytechnic College of Engineering in Colombo.
His ventures and accomplishments
Dunstan worked as an Assistant Engineer at M/s Al Homazi Foodstuff Company in Kuwait during the Gulf War before making his mark in the commercial world in Dubai.
Dunstan designed and founded firms that can serve the expat populations in the UAE based on his wide variety of skills and knowledge of how Dubai operates and rotates in the business market.
Currently, he has founded and run multiple businesses in various industries; M/s Jaber Al Measam Building Contracting LLC (Dubai UAE), M/s DJMC Events ( Dubai UAE), M/s Seagate Technical Services LLC (Dubai UAE), M/s ASL Entertainment (Vie Fashion Week)(Dubai UAE) M/s Magic Touch Global General Trading LLC,( Dubai UAE) M/s JMH Real Estate( Dubai UAE) M/s Triple Dee Investments LLC (Dubai UAE) M/s Fairfields Global Lawyers LLC (Dubai UAE) M/s Best Royal Trips Travels and Tourism (Dubai UAE) M/s Triple D Australia PTV LTD (Perth Australia) M/s Dwellings Real Estate (Melbourne Australia) M/s Happy Holidays Travels and Tourism PTV LTD (Melbourne Australia).
Dunstan believes that a life without risk is a life wasted. Challenges, he claims, molded him and were important to the early phases of all his enterprises. The most crucial feature distinguishes the amateur from the great and can cut the trip to create scale by years.
“Given the opportunity to support my fellow Sri Lankan, I formed the First Count Down to the Middle East Crown Series, which provided opportunities for amateur Sri Lankans Boxers to turn to Professional Boxing. I am also the appointed Director of External Affairs for The Sri Lankan Business Council,” he said.
He also promoted the Filipino community by bringing in a few world-renowned Filipino artists through his events firm, M/s DJMC.
When Dubai Vibes Magazine asked him how enthusiastic he is about his chosen profession and what the most fulfilling aspect of his work is, he answered that he has always considered his knowledge a gift from God. It is when he can solve everything he puts in his hands. He is highly interested in how mechanical things function for him.

That was an early morning flight; it came in at around 6:20 am, and no soon as I arrived, I got a call for a job opening as an assistant engineer for the Ministry of Defense, and I had to attend the interview at 10 am. I agreed to go for the interview and passed, and I was asked to come on the 12th for the second interview. I was selected and asked to start work on 15th December 1989. Everything happened so suddenly, after a couple of months working, I was asked to attend to a technical issue at the Palace of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Obaid Thani Al Maktoum, who was at that time the Deputy Minister of Defense,” Dunstan shared.
After Dunstan resolved the issue, His Highness requested that he be transferred to work directly for him. Since then, he has been involved in several multi-million dollar projects while demonstrating his capability. He has been the Managing Director for His Highness Private Office since 2005, overseeing all real estate properties, engineering, and all other matters.
Although luckily enough, in his job, he also encountered problems, and the challenges Dustan faced throughout his life made him stronger and bolder. He always trusts God, and his faith is more vital than swords.
Trusting God and loving his family
After God, family is the essential aspect of existence. Despite his demanding and hectic schedule, he makes every effort to spend time with his family.
When questioned about his problems and how he overcame them, he stated that being an Asian in a position like his was not easy. He had to deal with many issues, and his faith was the only thing that kept him going.
In his words, “I always ask our Lord Jesus to take control of whatever my situation am in, and He has never let me down; therefore, I would say that He is the answer to all our success if we let Him in with real Faith, He will bring the answer to you, sometimes it takes a little longer, but it is not because of GOD but because of your faith, and my boss who is always there when I need him..”
As a result of Dunstan’s faith, he has reached this point. His prayers and hard work were answered through his dedication, patience, and passion for what he does.
His ultimate goal is to provide a good education for his children, as this is the only inheritance that cannot be taken away from them. He hopes to teach his children to be compassionate to others and help others whenever possible while making friends rather than enemies wherever they go.
One of his ambitions is to retire and provide a magnificent house for his wife and children in the Philippines or Sri Lanka, as well as a secure future.
In conclusion, he advises businesspeople worldwide that “We are all children of God; therefore, we all have the right to the basics that life should offer. If you can make a difference to someone, you should do it right away because tomorrow may not come. “
“Everything we possess came into this world with us, and will leave it with us as well, so help those in need at all times,” he concluded.

Be Yourself, Shine Brighter: Queen’s Success Story

Every person has a unique and lovely life story. A story that may inspire, motivate and educate others. Whether a narrative is a triumph or a failure, it has something to share.
Neha Silva, a 31-year-old Indian model and social media content producer feels that one should enjoy life to the fullest so that there are no regrets in the future.

Neha was born in New Delhi and raised in Chennai. Her primary and secondary education and her college education were obtained at a private institution in her hometown. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2012.
She was a backbencher throughout her adolescence and college years and was constantly involved in extra-curricular activities and even humanitarian work for orphans. Her life vision encourages people to believe that life should be enjoyed.
She was lucky to be in a high-ranking marketing agency in India after graduation, so her professional career began. Neha worked as a Marketing account manager in India, leading her team and traveling between locations. She agreed to work between the two firms for three years.
Until one day, she realized she desired more from her life. She chose to take a risk and travel to the UAE despite the objections of her mother and relatives.
“That was the hardest and toughest decision I made, not knowing what my future holds for me,” Neha said.

She honestly stated that she was having a difficult time in India, that not many things were going well, that there were more downs than ups, and that she wanted to do something with her life.
Neha arrived in Dubai in December 2013 with no friends and just one person whom she could trust. She applied for many jobs in India before moving to Dubai. On her first job application, she got employed by a lovely firm.
“This company taught me many things; I had many welcoming colleagues, and the boss was warm and an amazing human being. I learned a lot from him. I had started as an operations executive; I was promoted after a year to Asst. Manager - Operations, and then again after a year, I was promoted to Manager - Planning & Operations,” she shared.
But the happiest part of Neha’s life was when she met the love of her life while working in the same firm. The man who conducted her interview afterward became her life partner. She considers herself fortunate that everything came into place at the appropriate time she met him.
She then advanced in her profession by working for a year for a well-known real estate firm in DubaiFalconcity of Wonders. She had always wanted to work with DWTC and Informa Middle East, and she was able to make her goal come true.
Neha is enthusiastic about event management, the fashion sector, and working hard. She used to be a hostess and has been lucky to have built a profession around this love over the last ten years, coordinating multi-million dollar event portfolios abroad and having her own social media company as a content producer and YouTuber.
Her husband persuaded her to compete in India Dubai Queen’s pageant, organized by Anul Mudra from the most extensive Indian expat community. She was named India Dubai Queen-first runner-up and Ms. Enchanting. This encounter helped her come out of her shell and see her value.
Neha stated that winning opened many new doors for her, and she is now being asked by many businesses to promote them and be a part of several photo sessions.
Aside from being a queen, she was also named Best Event Organizer in 2022 by the largest solely women expat recognized platform by Indian women in Dubai, which Reema Mahajan created. That honor made her feel as if her efforts throughout her career had been identified.
Dreams and struggles
Struggles and independence have shaped Neha’s life since infancy. She was raised in a home where everyone works two jobs to make ends meet. Her mother and sister had an essential part in her life, which aided her in becoming the person she is now.
“There were many sad and worst phases of our lives, but we continued to support and stand for each other. Our only dream was to earn big and take care of our family in a very peaceful way. We always used to think and plan that we did not want our younger sister to go through anything we did in our life; we wanted to give her a perfect life,” she emotionally shared.
She was going against her family, and traveling to a foreign nation where she had no one to look after was the most challenging period of her life. She had no idea what she was in for. When she earned her first income, she immediately transferred it to her mother, which was the most fulfilling moment of her life. She began taking full responsibility for her mother and sister’s schooling.
Along with these problems, Neha will always have benefits; she is extremely fortunate to take time away from her profession shortly after Covid is born. She decided not to work for a few years to raise her infant kid. She enjoys spending time with him and watching him attain his first milestones.
Another blessing she has is a spouse who is her rock, support system, and cheerleader. She always encourages her to pursue her interests. She anticipated her newborn son would be a gentleman and supportive like her father.
She says, “I feel there is much to be celebrated and recognized for all the sweat, blood, and tears we put into our work. Having all the achievements in life is not only for me but a message to all women that they should never stop dreaming.

We often want to be someone because of the inspiration we get from someone near us. As a result, there are families with physicians, teachers, attorneys, and even performers and actresses. This drive fosters familial relationships and a sense of comfort and security.

Snaya Aswad, a 36-year-old Canadian expat in the UAE, is highly enthusiastic about art. She was fortunate enough to attend an art school. She enrolled in every art class she could find.
In Grade 9, she began her first job during his adolescence, and that first paycheque seemed like a million dollars to her. It was only 15 hours a week, but it taught her responsibility and how to work with others. Earning money for college was a terrific experience for her.

Because of the influence of her father, a Mechanical Engineer, she opted to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering after graduating from high school. Her father, she claims, has a flair for drawing and sketching drawings, which he eventually transformed into blueprints; he’s been known to stay up all night preparing lectures for his pupils.
She knew from a young age that she wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps and pursue a career in mechanical engineering.
On the other hand, her mother significantly affected her life; she demonstrated what it takes to be a strong, confident woman who knows precisely what she wants out of life. And how crucial confidence is in following her ambitions.
“I moved from Toronto to Dubai in 2010 after graduating from college with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in Construction and Project Management—and got my first professional title along the way! It was all worth it because I have a family who supports me every step,” Snaya said.
She also stated that there was a lot of hard work and difficult moments throughout this time, but it was all worth it since success makes everything worthwhile.
Marrying the love of her life, creating a family, and deciding to put her career on wait were not simple decisions. But when their children grew into tiny people, she felt ready to re-enter the workforce while still being able to be close to home with her family. So they decided to form their own company, Celine Claire GCC, and become entrepreneurs.
Snaya says, “Being an entrepreneur mom is not only possible but also incredibly rewarding. It’s helped me grow as a person and given me a sense of accomplishment, and I have to manage my kids’ needs while still creating the right environment for them to grow up in.”
She is continuously managing her own business and her family—there have been many difficult circumstances she has had to navigate with time management, composure, and organization.
Furthermore, being a busy entrepreneur-mother is rewarding, especially when she can spend time with her family and create her schedule. She is delighted because she did a lot in a day, and if someone tells her that it cannot be done, she tells them that she has done it.
Her enterprise and its challenges
Before the pandemic, Celine Claire Hair Care Products mainly served salons and hair professionals. Because before the epidemic, life was different. Except when everything shut down during the Covid, they felt they had no choice but to hide in their houses and wait for things to improve.
But then they wanted to inject some pleasure into people’s lives, and they embarked on a quest to make cosmetics and personal care interesting and exciting again. At the same time, they remained pure and organic so that customers could feel good about their purchases.
Celine Clair Cosmetics is now accessible in salons throughout Canada, the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. They created it because everyone deserves access to natural and organic personal care products.
When asked what she appreciated most about her present job, she said she likes giving services to her clients. She is under pressure to serve families with children with distinctive hair that mothers struggle to manage because their products are natural and safe for younger children.
Snaya, despite her achievements, has had challenges in her life, but she has overcome them. She mentioned that changing job paths surprised others around her; they concentrated on what she couldn’t accomplish, but she focused on what she was enthusiastic about.
This woman put her talents and expertise to use in her new role. As a result, she felt more emboldened to take the essential steps in the beauty sector.

image credit: supplied Most UAE expats will say, when asked what has been the role of the UAE in their development, that UAE has provided them with what they need and that impossible things can happen if you work hard.

Prince Ufuoma Eshalomi is an actual model of excellence and a guy of dedication and wisdom regarding hard labor. He is a dreamer like anybody else, but he is more than that since he ensures that every dream he has is carried out correctly.
Powerhouse Real Estate’s Associate Director is British National Prince. He began working in several businesses and jobs early to supplement his schooling. Going to school and finishing it may be his only way to achieve his goals.
Prince is a highly focused guy who, although a man of few words, is full of information and constantly driven to work. His youthful job experience inspires him to believe that no matter what occurs, he will continue to pursue his ambitions.
Electrical and Electronic Engineering was his chosen career path, which led him to Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing. With foreign clientele, fit-outs and construction sites became the norm. He arranged agreements in various nations and will continue to do so because his client bank is spread around the globe.
Before his current position, Prince worked as a Project Manager at Halton Group and as an Account Manager at Hexagon Group. This man has worked in sales since the beginning of his career. And he genuinely does flourish anytime you bring him.
He has been in the UAE since August 2019, just before Covid 19. The quality of life is what he appreciates most about Dubai. There is so much to see and do, he claims, that it cannot be explored in a month.
When Dubai Vibes Magazine asked him what he appreciates most about his present job, he answered that he enjoys the diversity of clientele he deals with and understands cultural differences to serve the client best.
Prince, being open-minded, can easily interact with the individuals he has worked with because of his nature and how he treats his clients and affiliates. He should be well-versed in the nuances of his field of business, Real Estate.
He claims his everyday problems in the profession include teaching buyers and sellers about the present market. Real estate is a key market that requires a great deal of expertise, not just from buyers but also from sellers.
“Real estate has given me the freedom and experience to reach all my objectives and aspirations, and it’s a terrific career for everyone,” he added.
Although Prince is successful in his field, he has faced hurdles that he must overcome. “I believe you must dig within to identify your weaknesses,” he says. I fought with the work patterns, and the task could not be done until I put a framework in place.”
Last, when asked what his ultimate desire is, he stated that having a family in Dubai is his dream because he is now based between Dubai and London and needs his roots completely entrenched here in the Middle East. DVM-DUBAI VIBES MAGAZINE

Workout begins when you want to quit

Taking care of one’s physical and mental health should always be one of the priorities for everybody. If a person is healthy in both body and mind, everything will fall into place.

According to professional fitness physical trainer Asad Jan, to achieve harmony in life, a person must be tranquil on the inside to view the world’s beauty.
Asad, a 26-year-old Pakistani model, is currently residing in Dubai to try his hand at physical training and modeling. And luckily, he is presently creating a name for himself in Dubai’s fashion and modeling industries.

He’s a cool and witty guy who enjoys making others smile. Asad identified himself as someone who tries to encourage and respect people. He makes his soul happy by assisting others. His primary priority will always be to inspire others to be better people.
He describes himself as a straightforward, wellmannered individual due to his parent’s influence. His mother taught him how to love people unconditionally. His parents highly support him, which is why he finally started working in sales after graduating with a degree in Computer Science. And fortunately, he excelled in his industry and was happy with his employment.
After a while, he began to relocate to Dubai in 2019 to try his luck, and without a doubt, he discovered his home. Asad described Dubai as his second home.
“As a model, I’ve grown alongside numerous professional models and people in the fashion business worldwide. Dubai has been kind to me,” he remarked.
He opted to work as a model and fitness trainer because they are both linked. Those positions provide him with what he wants and always positively impact the public with his fitness journey.
“I’ve influenced many people, and I like doing it. Working as a model has taught me many valuable lessons and provided me with valuable public exposure,” Asad explained.
His ambition is to be successful, and he has always strived to grow and make a positive impression on people. For him, the key to satisfaction is focus and devotion.
The reason behind everything
Asad explained that he was determined to change the first time he went to the gym. He began by training his body, and after six weeks, he observed a significant difference in his physique and some improvement, and he began to work hard on himself.
The main reason for everything was that he was so skinny before, which he was thrilled about, but he was also a victim of bullying, and many people in his school, neighborhood, and even at his past employment teased him.
He, therefore, resolved to have a good-looking figure like movie stars. He began working out in 2015, and, like everyone else, he found it challenging and uncomfortable to make adjustments. But he practiced it every day until he got it right. Aside from going to the gym, he focused on his eating habits, read more magazines, and researched anything fitness-related on the Internet.
After years of adjusting his lifestyle, he has achieved his goal and is now assisting others in becoming the person they want to be.
When asked what satisfies him in his present profession, he stated, “The most fulfilling part about my work is looking at your customer and making them content and happy.”
No pain, No Gain
Considering Asad’s many good possibilities in life, he still faced obstacles in his daily existence. Working with him has never been simple; there have been several rejections and challenges. The most difficult element for Asad is finding the proper individuals to work with.
Another point is, “I always know what I want, and I have a strategy, but sometimes it fails. Not because I am insecure, but because I am not in the right position at the right moment,” Asad said.
His ultimate goal is to see his siblings thrive in their future endeavors and to see them in good places. In the future, he hopes to become a more successful model and fitness teacher.
Ultimately, he tells the readers, “We all have different tales; your narrative may be difficult, but never stop dreaming. The world is gorgeous and appears to be on the brighter side. Have faith in yourself!”

How to improve our perception of body image
ASK YASIR KHAN
Body image is determined by how we perceive and feel about ourselves physically, as well as how we believe others see us. As individuals who have always desired to appear attractive, clean, and fit, consciousness in our bodies will simply pass through our heads on a daily basis. Psychologically, the world today is increasingly aware of how others perceive and perceive us. There is no denying that social media has had an impact on everyone’s self-perception, self-esteem, and mental health.
Social media, by presenting individuals in their finest appearances and physiques, sometimes drives us to indirectly shape an ideal picture of what we want ourselves to be, but little do we realize that it builds up our anxieties within, affecting our physical and mental health.
Taking simple, concrete measures to enhance your overall view of your body, on the other hand, may go a long way toward favorably improving your wellbeing. Your body will unavoidably change, but how you reprogram your mind to nourish and care for it, rather than degrade it, will lead to a healthier future. Do you require any assistance? Yasir Khan, a celebrity trainer, entrepreneur, and health advocate, thinks that your body is a product of your lifestyle as well as a reflection of your beliefs. He thinks that what the mind believes is what the body achieves, and that mental change is at the center of all we do.
Here are some tips on how to improve our perception of body image:
• Eat and exercise in a way that promotes health and strength, not to achieve a certain weight or body type • Practice mindfulness and avoid allowing painful thoughts and feelings to define or overwhelm you • Practice self-compassion, or extending kindness and understanding to yourself, rather than judgement and criticism • Stop focusing on the parts you don’t like and start focusing on the parts you like.
