Stephen’s professional career started in 2004 at the prestigious Royal County Down Golf Club under the supervision of the 2006 Irish PGA Captain Kevan Whitson. An honours graduate in Golf Management from Central Lancashire, Stephen is an accomplished teacher and player. Having travelled to Hong Kong, Spain and now Dubai to teach the game, Stephen brings with him a wealth of knowledge to pass on to his pupils.
A passionate instructor, Stephen advocates the world’s best, Peter Cowen’s method of instruction. Having been mentored by Peter, Stephen brings with him modern information which he passes onto his students in a simple and effective manner. A qualified Titleist Performance Institute Fitness, Junior and Power coach instructor he has the ability to offer an holistic approach when working with all ages and ability of student. Stephen also utilises trackman data and video analysis on a daily basis to get the most out of his students games.
Stephen is an accomplished player having won several UAE PGA events. Some highlights include representing the UAE in the International team championships and successfully qualifying and competing in the 2010 European Tour Omega Dubai Desert Classic.
Alastair is a highly experienced and qualified PGA Professional who has been teaching at world class facilities since 2001. He completed his PGA training and progressed to Senior Assistant Professional at Royal Portrush Golf Club in Northern Ireland under the guidance of renowned Head Professional Gary McNeill.
Joining Emirates Golf Club in 2008 Alastair has constantly evolved as an instructor/coach, gathering his knowledge from the best tour instructors and leading biomechanics experts. He uses the Peter Cowen method in his teaching and is also a Titleist Performance Institute certified instructor.
Using the most current technology available and being certified in all key areas of golf coaching Alastair has learned to deliver lessons with a relevant and simplistic approach. Most importantly Alastair believes that the student must understand the ball-flight laws and correct impact conditions to fully understand their swing pattern and how to improve it. Sessions with Alastair include video analysis and Trackman technology.

The Academy is pleased to offer a selection of individual lesson programmes that are both personalised and enjoyable.
Choose from either a 30 minute or one hour tailor made private lesson with one of our Golf Professionals. During the 30 minute session your Golf Professional will be able to help you with any aspect of your game from driving to putting. The one hour lesson is more suitable for new golfers who require a more detailed lesson or for players who wish to cover more than one aspect of the game.
Our philosophy ensures that your commitment to improve is rewarded with our commitment to assist you. As well as instruction on your swing you can expect guidance in key areas such as custom fitting, physical conditioning, injury prevention and treatment.
To encourage you to practice, we will give you complimentary unlimited use of the Academy driving range facilities on the day of your lesson.

Lessons with the Head and Senior PGA Professionals
Stephen Deane, Head Professional
Stephen is a great believer that Trackman is the best teaching tool on the market today. Using Trackman during a lesson eliminates guessing by showing the instructor exactly what’s happening at impact on every shot. Video is great but only offers two dimensional feedback while Trackman provides three dimensional impact and ball flight data. Students learn very quickly how club path and face angle effect ball flight. They then learn feel through numbers because Trackman delivers real-time feedback on each swing while showing the resultant ball flight, making the lesson even more effective.
Trackman’s accuracy and precision helps students dial in yardages while the different ball and club data points makes ball and club fitting simple.

Dubai Golf Elite Juniors Programme
This specific programme led by Head Professional Stephen Deane allows young talented golfers to meet constructively for five hours every week and hone their skills technically and physically, whilst gaining valuable experience in competitive play.
The first of its kind in the UAE, the programme is providing a platform for dedicated youngsters to move towards making golf a career choice. Meeting four times per week, twice before school along with two evening sessions, the programme includes supervised practice, golf specific exercise, technical tuition and competitive play.

Dubai Golf Junior Programme
The Dubai Golf Junior Programme has been created for youngsters aged between seven and seventeen years old and allows them to progress through different levels as they become more experienced golfers.
The entry level to the programme ensures that sound fundamentals are installed from the beginning. As the child moves through the various stages of development the Golf Professionals will have a greater focus on the physical, etiquette, rules and on-course performance areas of the game. Our ultimate goal is to provide your child with the facilities, skill sets and knowledge required to reach their full potential.
Each child will receive a Dubai Golf Junior Passbook containing all levels of development with physical and technical challenges for each level. As the junior progresses to the higher levels, individual assessment profiling will ensure all juniors work on key personally focused elements developing their game for future elite golf. Classes are limited to a maximum of six children per instructor and over a 15 week term, your child will spend 50 minutes per week with one of our Golf Professionals. Custom designed junior clubs are available if required.

Dubai Golf Little Champions
The Dubai Golf Little Champions Programme is designed specifically for children aged between four and six years old and it is an ideal way to introduce your child to the game of golf. The programme is designed to develop the child’s understanding of the game whilst also working on key FUNdamental movement skills needed for future development. Learning all aspects of the game from technique to basic rules, the professionals will provide a fun game and task environment for maximum enjoyment.
Over a 15 week term, your child will spend 50 minutes per week with one of our qualified Golf Professionals. Classes are limited to a maximum of six children per instructor, safety and enjoyment are always paramount. Lightweight junior clubs will be provided if required.

Group Lessons
Learning golf in a group environment can be fun and cost effective. Allow us to welcome you and your friends to our Golf Academy by gathering three to six people and choosing one of our group lessons.
You can select an introductory 60 or 90 minute lesson as a one off, or commit to the package of five one hour lessons.

Ladies Programme
Whether you are a regular player or a complete beginner, why not take the opportunity to learn golf in a friendly and relaxed environment, with the Academy’s Ladies Programme?
Over a period of ten weeks your group will be taken through various aspects of the game by your qualified Golf Professional.
Your group will consist of a maximum of six participants, ensuring you receive ample time with your instructor during the one hour weekly lessons. A ten week range pass also allows you to practice between sessions. After each lesson, you are invited to relax over a coffee in the Spike Bar.

Learn Golf In A Week
Learn Golf In A Week is The Academy’s signature beginners’ group programme and provides an excellent introduction to the game of golf.
Spread across a week, you will receive a total of four hours of instruction in a maximum group size of ten, ensuring that you will receive the necessary support from your qualified Golf Professional to establish your golfing skills. The course covers the basic set-up fundamentals and golf swing mechanics, body motion and ball striking and the art of the shortgame with pitching, chipping and putting.
All equipment will be provided if required.

The Golf Experience
These introductory golf clinics are the perfect way to entertain your clients or as a corporate team building experience.
Our Golf Professionals will introduce your group to the game of golf. During a 90 minute session your guests will learn the basics and fundamentals of golf, plus they get the chance to play against one another head to head, and later the opportunity to take part in some fun competitions. Following the session unwind on the Academy terrace with our choice of International and BBQ buffets. No previous golfing experience is required.
