The Dubai Golf Academy at Emirates Golf Club is run in association with Peter Cowen, one of the world’s most recognized golf coaches who has worked with some of the very best players in the world including major champions, European tour winners and Ryder Cup players such as Darren Clarke, Martin Kaymer, Louis Oosthuizen and Henrik Stenson.

This partnership allows Emirates Golf Club to utilise Peter’s experience and expertise first hand, offering both beginner and established golfers alike to follow in the footsteps of golfing greats and improving their own game. The Golf Professionals at The Academy are qualified to teach the method and philosophy of Peter Cowen, using the uniquely structured “Learning Pyramid” and the teaching manual that is endorsed by Peter.

The Academy is staffed by a team of fully qualified Golf Professionals who are here to assist you and take you through every aspect of the game. Whether you are looking for an individual lesson or a group clinic, our Academy Professionals are able to cater for your needs and offer you a world class learning experience.

Individual Lessons

The Academy is pleased to offer a selection of individual lesson programmes that are both personalised and enjoyable.

Choose from either a 30 minute or one hour tailor made private lesson with one of our Golf Professionals. During the 30 minute session your Golf Professional will be able to help you with any aspect of your game from driving to putting. The one hour lesson is more suitable for new golfers who require a more detailed lesson or for players who wish to cover more than one aspect of the game.

Our philosophy ensures that your commitment to improve is rewarded with our commitment to assist you. As well as instruction on your swing you can expect guidance in key areas such as custom fitting, physical conditioning, injury prevention and treatment.

To encourage you to practice, we will give you free unlimited use of the Academy driving range facilities on the day of your lesson.

Enhance Your Game

A private 30 minute lesson, ideal for addressing a specific issue relating to your game.

A private one hour golf lesson suited to golfers of all abilities.

*Lessons are available for two sharing at a surcharge.

A private one hour golf lesson with the Academy’s Head Professional, Stephen Deane.

Four private one hour lessons scheduled over three months including complimentary use of the practice facilities and required equipment for one month.

*Shared Foundation packages valid for two persons will incur a 50% surcharge.

Eight private one hour lessons scheduled over six months including three months’ range pass. Your dedicated PGA instructor will create your programme for the season and the content of these lessons will be tailored to suit your ability level.

*Shared Enhance Your Game packages valid for two persons will incur a 50% surcharge.

Terms and Conditions

• Private lessons last for 30 minutes or one hour, including a lesson summary with your Golf Professional

• When using the driving range golfers must adhere to the dress code of the golf course

• Please note that any on the day cancellations and ‘no shows’ will be charged at the full rate

Group Lessons

Learning golf in a group environment can be fun and cost effective. Allow us to welcome you and your friends to our Golf Academy by gathering three to six people and choosing one of our group lessons.

You can select an introductory 60 or 90 minute lesson as a one off, or commit to the package of five one hour lessons.

All equipment will be provided if required.

Dubai Golf Little Champions

The Dubai Golf Little Champions Programme is designed specifically for children aged between four and six years old and it is an ideal way to introduce your child to the game of golf. The programme is designed to develop the child’s understanding of the game whilst also working on key FUNdamental movement skills needed for future development. Learning all aspects of the game from technique to basic rules, the professionals will provide a fun game and task environment for maximum enjoyment.

Over an eight week period, your child will spend 50 minutes per week with one of our qualified Golf Professionals. Classes are limited to a maximum of six children per instructor, safety and enjoyment are always paramount. Lightweight junior clubs will be provided if required.

Dubai Golf Junior Programme

The Dubai Golf Junior Programme has been created for youngsters aged between seven and seventeen years old and allows them to progress through different levels as they become more experienced golfers.

The entry level to the programme ensures that sound fundamentals are installed from the beginning. As the child moves through the various stages of development the Golf Professionals will have a greater focus on the physical, etiquette, rules and on-course performance areas of the game. Our ultimate goal is to provide your child with the facilities, skill sets and knowledge required to reach their full potential.

Each child will receive a Dubai Golf Futures Passbook containing all levels of development with physical and technical challenges for each level. As the junior progresses to the higher levels, individual assessment profiling will ensure all juniors work on key personally focused elements developing their game for future elite golf.

Classes are limited to a maximum of six children per instructor and over an eight week period, your child will spend 50 minutes per week with one of our Golf Professionals. Custom designed junior clubs are available if required.

Along with the Passbook provided containing exercises, rules, challenges and online tuition, each child will receive an instructional DVD covering the lesson content.

Ladies Programme

Whether you are a regular player or a complete beginner, why not take the opportunity to learn golf in a friendly and relaxed environment, with the Academy’s Ladies Programme?

Over a period of eight weeks your group will be taken through various aspects of the game by your qualified Golf Professional.

Your group will consist of a maximum of six participants, ensuring you receive ample time with your instructor during the one hour weekly lessons. An eight week range pass also allows you to practice between sessions. After each lesson, you are invited to relax over a coffee in the Spike Bar.

All equipment is provided if required.

Learn Golf In A Week

Learn Golf In A Week is The Academy’s signature beginners’ group programme and provides an excellent introduction to the game of golf.

Spread across a week, you will receive a total of four hours of instruction in a maximum group size of ten, ensuring that you will receive the necessary support from your qualified Golf Professional to establish your golfing skills. The course covers the basic set-up fundamentals and golf swing mechanics, body motion and ball striking and the art of the shortgame with pitching, chipping and putting.

All equipment will be provided if required.

The TrackMan launch monitor is the latest in ball tracking technology and is one of the best ways to assist with improving your overall game. Under the guidance of one of our Golf Professionals and specialist club fitters, the information gained from Track Man will improve your ball speed, launch angle and spin rate to maximize your driving distance. Not only will you be improving your technique for all shots, the system will also ensure that the equipment is helping rather than hindering your game.

Sam Puttlab is the ultimate putting training system. It is based on accurate ultrasound measurements which analyse the 28 most important parameters of your putting stroke. During your one hour lesson with your instructor you will discover your individual strengths and weaknesses allowing for better and more efficient training. The SAM system can also be used for putter fitting sessions allowing you to scientifically see which style of putter works best for you.

The Golf Experience

These introductory golf clinics are the perfect way to entertain your clients or as a corporate team building experience.

Our Golf Professionals will introduce your group to the game of golf. During a 90 minute session your guests will learn the basics and fundamentals of golf, plus they get the chance to play against one another head to head, and later the opportunity to take part in some fun competitions. Following the session unwind on the Academy terrace with our choice of International and BBQ buffets. No previous golfing experience is required.

The Par 3 Experience allows you to entertain those guests or colleagues who have a small amount of golfing experience. Participants will enjoy the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the Par 3 Academy course and take part in on courses challenges such as nearest the pin and beat the Pro! A great way to play a fun round of golf and enjoy some culinary delights after the game.
