Match Duration & Player Rules
U11, U12, U13: 2 x 7 mins, 2 mins half-time, U14, U16: 12 mins, no half-time.
Max 12 players per team; 7 on-field at a time with rolling subs.
No player can play in more than one age group (unless filling in due to injuries, with coordinator approval).
Scoring & Tie Breaks
Win: 3 points, Draw: 1 point, Loss: 0 points.
Tiebreaker: head-to-head result, then points difference, then coin toss.
Refereeing
Referees provided for U14/U16 and neutral refs for U11-U13 finals.
U11, U12, U13 group games: agree between schools or contact the desk if needed.
Game Rules
Try Scored: Restart with drop kick to conceding team.
Line Outs: U11, U12, U13, U14: No line outs; play restarts with a tap from the touchline. Defending team must retreat 10 meters.
U16: Contested line outs.
Scrums:
U11 & U12: Uncontested, 9 passes to first receiver.
U13: Contested, defending scrum-half restricted until ball out.
Knockout Draws: Sudden death (5 min halves); coin toss if still tied after extra time.
Player Substitution Rules
Rolling subs allowed.
Handoffs allowed in all age groups.
Final Decisions

RULES RULES
1.INF Rules 2024
2.Central timing: matches start and finish on the umpire’s whistle.
3.Scorers and umpires will be provided.
4.No injury time (quick change unless serious). First aiders and school nurses will be present.
5.Matches: 6 mins each way, 1 min half-time, 2 mins between games. Teams must be ready outside the courts/hall.
6.Max 12 players per squad, and players can only play in one age group/team.
7.Teams must be on court at the designated time. Late arrivals allow the opposition to start, and goals will count.
8.U11/12 matches: sportshall and MUGA. U13/14 matches: outdoor courts by rugby pitches. Round robin format.
9.Coaches/captains: check scorecards after each game.
10.Scoring: 5 points for a win, 3 for a draw, 1 for over 50% of the losing score.
11.Tiebreaker: higher goal average, then goal difference.
12.Water fountains available. Refreshments for sale. Bring hats, suncream, and water bottles.
13.Spectators: designated seating in sportshall and around MUGA. No access inside outdoor court fencing.
14.Ensure parents and supporters behave appropriately.
15.Coaches/subs stay at the defending end; no sideline walking during games.
16.Coach meeting at 7:40 am outside the SPACE.
17.Gazebos are welcome outside the courts.
