4 Elements of Biblical Prosperity Money Matters

God's plan for prosperity is a holistic plan, which includes finances. A prosperous person is someone experiencing God's grace and favor in all areas of their life.

1. WORK

While work alone won’t lead to prosperity, you can’t have prosperity independent of a good work ethic.

'Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.' Ephesians 4:28

'But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.' 1 Timothy 5:8

'Nor did we eat anyone’s bread free of charge, but worked with labor and toil night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you,' 2 Thessalonians 3:8

2. STEWARDSHIP

'He also said to His disciples: “There was a certain rich man who had a steward, and an accusation was brought to him that this man was wasting his goods So he called him and said to him, ‘What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your stewardship, for you can no longer be a steward.’ So the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light. He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if you have not been faithful

in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own? “No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”' Luke 16:1-2,8,10-13

'Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.' 1 Corinthians 4:1-2

3. DISCIPLINE

Discipline is not only working, managing and budgeting, but it is developing wisdom to recognize opportunities for preparation, sowing and leveraging your resources.

'Go to the ant, yo ways and be wise captain, Overseer supplies in the su food in the harve slumber, O slugg from your sleep? slumber, A little fo sleep So shall y like a prowler, An armed man.' Pro

'He who has a sla But the hand of t He who gathers i He who sleeps in causes shame.' P

4. GIVING

Discipline is not only working, managing and budgeting, but it is developing wisdom to recognize opportunities for preparation, sowing and leveraging your resources.

'There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty. The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself.' Proverbs 11:24-25

'He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, And He will pay back what he has given.' Proverbs 19:17
