Re-introducing Atlantic City’s beachfront and boardwalk to host a recreational complex that supplies an extension of spatial development for local site activation.

Atlantic City is a city known for its lively Casinos, but lacks in other areas of providing a sustainable community and economic environment for decades. From my standpoint, sports, health, and wellness of people is at an all time high in our society.

Creating places that push the public's direction to be involved is essential to the social realm. While sports and recreational activities are important to our community’s structure, it is what will bring a long term initiative of of revitalizing Atlantic City’s poor area.

Extending Atlantic City’s existing city grid to create acentralized park space that allows for the occupation of local residents & tourists. Micro-mobility, such as connecting paths & the shaping of roundabout vehicular circulation create shared mean of travel through a more human-like scale enviroment.

Transitional moments from the boardwalk to land area beyond the beach provide multiple scenarios of purposeful impactful moves within the site. Quality mixed-use development of Atlantic City’s beachfront property will gain back public interest to other parts along the coast lacked significant land use. Where should be an amazing and useful coast is where the city lacks the most intuition to establish a real destination for more tourists. Acting as an anchor at the inlet of the public realm will re-establish as an area of progressive safe activity for the public.

TO ZONING CODES REGULATIONS FOR GARAGES & RESIDENTIAL USE The RS-C Resort Commercial District is intended to apply to established in the City. Its purpose is to , consisting predominantly of , at such intensity as is justified by the City's limited land resources, high land values and infrastructure capacity. is also for the purpose of preserving and enhancing the of the City and integrating the specialized activities of the Resort Commercial District with the rest of the community.

A sustainable complex that houses the likes of sports activities and entertainment will enhanced the use of beach, land, and water. This establishes a sustainable, network of urban streetscapes and beachfront by using the disconnection of where the boardwalk abrupt ends to reintroduce a communal atmosphere for long term residents and tourists.

Existing and future development of residential areas are prone to connect the Atlantic City shore. Atlantic City’s region is full of promising areas for redeveloping the combination of tourism, residential living, and entertainment. Revitalizing the boardwalk for the public involvement from city to beach is a key attempt for a successful collaboration for the city’s prosperity. Creating the site where a new recreational and housing complex that combines entertainment will encourage active public interest.

The beachfront site at the inlet allows for a important connection between streetscape and the beach. One site to be the degrading shore line that acts as an anchor to the end of the public connection for the boardwalk. Wind power at the inlet is important environmental system that will continually be a useful sustainable system to help power the site’s needs.

FEEDBACK: The use of a vertical element at the separation of buildings coud help influence the portal area.

The sense of arrival to be spectular at the the beginning of the diagonal path.

Parking to also be part of the diagonal entrance.

Location of Restrooms and locker rooms can be moved to provide more pure spaces.

Central basketball seating can be relocated.

Gray open areas in the plan.

Renderings to have more sense of beach and ocean.

REFLECTION: The experience throughout this certain thesis project has brought to light many of the problems that arise throughout sports, the city, and the overall process of the creating a place that adheres to peoples needs and desires.

RESPONSE: Having the opening at the roof deck allow light to filtererd down through the outdoor cooridor space for commercial use and transport. The use of landscape design and some furniture could also provide some architectral value.

The path can be modified to a lager width with the same architectural language the plaza has with bordering strucrue or landscape.

Parking is sufficient throughout the area, while creating a central entrance at the beginning of the diagonal can also influence the where people then choose to go. Prelimanry designs included parking along the park side of the residential buidlings.

Restrooms and Locker rooms are located for ease of access for people exercising or leaving the stadium like areas. They are also located where interior spaces that do not take up window area. More restrooms and locker rooms can provided, while aslo moving the central restrooms to under lengthy bleachers that do not intetfere with pureness of central space.
