BATTERIES AS BUFFERS DTU has tested a solution that allows for the rapid charging of electric cars without placing a strain on the electricity grid. This is possible when a rapid charger is combined with a battery. When demand for electricity exceeds production, the battery can act as a buffer for the electricity grid.
