DTLR SPRING 2022 PHOTO SHOOT

Atlanta, ga

The DTLR Spring 2022 Photo Shoot featured artists “Karlae” and “Luh Dino” posing in NIKE apparel at an exclusive private residence in Atlanta. Both artists brought their own “swag” to the shoot and precisely represented the brand. Karlae, originally from North Carolina and now based in Atlanta, made her commercial solo debut with the independent “RIXH,” a collaboration with Rich the Kid. She then joined the roster of Thug’s Young Stoner Life label, and during the rest of 2019 released “Everything” (featuring Thug) and “Shut Up and Listen” (with Lil Duke). However, she first became a public figure as a model and swimwear designer, which made her a natural choice to show off DTLR’s upcoming spring apparel. Luh Dino is an Atlanta rapper best known for his hit singles “Show You Off,” “Swear to God,” and “My Name.” He’s also known for being signed to the Kuhnsinity Records label and his many performances on WorldstarHipHop. His style and realness allowed him to own his looks, making the photo shoot a complete success.

‘UNEXPECTED CREATIVITY’ & THE AIR JORDAN 11 “COOL GREY” washington, d.c. DTLR and Jordan – in partnership with Arena Social Arts Club and Hue 2 Gallery – worked to share a unique connection to D.C. through the lens of her. The brands brought the popular Air Jordan 11 “Cool Grey” sneaker back to the chocolate city via a pop-up art exhibit highlighting four women from the DMV, whose art was curated to tell the “Cool Grey” origin story in a figurative, artistic format. The Unexpected Creativity Art Exhibition opened on Dec. 7, leading up to a Friends & Family reception on Dec. 10 hosted by DTLR and Jordan Brand. With the help from the Arena Social Arts Club, attendees were in for a visual treat by four local visionaries, who created the unexpected works of art. Artists Lex Marie, Dyymond Whipper-Young, Keiona Clark, and Anisha Murdock were hand-selected to present original pieces inspired by the chilling design and living legacy of the iconic sneaker. MAKE MISSION BRIGHT

Central Union Men’s Shelter washington, d.c.

On Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, DTLR Community Outreach partnered with various nonprofit organizations to transform the halls of the Central Union Men’s Shelter, as it was in dire need of a design update. Sixteen spaces in the shelter were selected to receive a much-needed renovation! So with the help of 100 volunteers, and furniture and supply donations, the shelter was left with an update and touch of love for its residents. Central Union Mission is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and the oldest private social service agency in Washington, D.C. In addition to its emergency shelter, which provides over 62,000 bednights each year, the Mission operates a holistic, transformation and workforce development program for men, provides benefits for veterans, helps people overcome addictions, operates a food and clothing distribution center, which provides food for over 4,000 each month, runs a camp for underprivileged children, and offers a ministry to families and senior citizens. GuideStar has awarded Central Union Mission a Gold Seal for financial transparency, and Great Nonprofits has given Central Union Mission a Top-Rated award. One life at a time, the Mission works to help transform the area’s toughest rehabilitation cases, including drug addicts, gang members, criminal offenders and the chronically homeless into productive members of society.

SEASONS GIVING 2021

Atlanta, Chicago, Miami, Philadelphia & Washington, D.C.

DTLR Community Outreach held our Annual Seasons Giving Holiday program by partnering with various nonprofits to present donations across five cities, which provided support and holiday cheer to 100 families in need. We presented a total of $100,000 to several nonprofit organizations – who helped identify the families in need in each city – in an effort to provide support to less fortunate families this season. The funds, which were donated by DTLR and Adidas, were given to 100 families across five cities, including Atlanta, Chicago, Miami, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. In each city, 20 families received a $1,000 Visa gift card to enjoy a holiday shopping spree. • ATLANTA: DTLR partnered with The Pinky Cole Foundation, a nonprofit that is dedicated to promoting Black economic progress through educational programs, networking events and thought leadership. • CHICAGO: DTLR partnered with Think Outside Da Block, an organization that works to improve the lives of disadvantaged youth and community members by promoting positive youth development strategies. • MIAMI: DTLR donated funds to T.E.E.S., a nonprofit committed to providing youth with safe and positive family environments in which they learn skills that lead them to become self-sufficient and productive community members. • PHILADELPHIA: DTLR partnered with Down North Pizza, a mission-led organization that employs formerly incarcerated individuals in an effort to reduce recidivism rates in the community. • WASHINGTON, D.C.: DTLR partnered with Be The Village, a nonprofit that supports working moms by helping close the maternity leave gap. “Caring for community members in need is a core part of our DNA at DTLR, and we want to ensure we are doing what we can to help those in the areas we serve this holiday season,” said Tremayne Lipscomb, DTLR Director of Community Outreach. “Our goal is to empower community members and show our support for them, especially during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which has caused hardship for so many.” Below are some of industry press coverage pieces we received: footwearnews.com formula4media.com
