Getting back to nature Here at Maudslay Park we’re committed to integrating ourselves into the local community. It’s just one of the reasons why Renaissance Villages is supporting leading local conservation charity Warwickshire Wildlife Trust with the vital upkeep of its River Arrow nature reserve. .

IT’S WONDERFUL TO HAVE A NATURE RESERVE SO CLOSE TO MAUDSLAY PARK. WE KNOW THE FASCINATING SITE WILL BE OF GREAT INTEREST TO OUR RESIDENTS.

The River Arrow reserve is located in the town of Alcester, three miles by road from Maudslay Park

T

he River Arrow reserve is a small, peaceful site with a mosaic of habitats, including ponds, river, tall herb, grassland, and woodland. It is comprised of three fields adjoining the River Arrow forming a secret oasis close to the town centre

of the historic market town of Alcester. Its habitats, which were once typical of lowland Britain, are becoming increasingly rare. Amongst the present flora and fauna are kingfishers and the locally important small teasel. The River Arrow reserve is

open 365 days a year and is free to enter. There are marked footpaths as well as a self-guided trail map to show you where to look for wildlife and find points of interest. We hope you will enjoy visiting it, particularly during the summer months.

WELCOME...

A

t Maudslay Park we’ve adopted our proven formula for a successful retirement village, offering the active, independent and social lifestyle that we know is cherished by our residents. Set in 90 acres of mature parkland, Maudslay Park is the fourth development from Renaissance Villages. It offers a selection of luxury two- and threebedroom cottages and one- and two-bedroom apartments, centred around a prestigious clubhouse, exclusively for the over 60s. We’ve got a spring in our step as we move through the summer, even though we’ve had a few challenges to overcome on site over the last few months. While building work has been delayed, which has been frustrating for everybody, our priority has been to ensure that construction continues to move forward, so we’re delighted to confirm that the build of our first show homes is now well underway. We’ll continue to keep everybody informed as things progress and of course we’re very excited about the launch of our show homes later this year. We’ve also been very busy protecting the native flora and fauna; our team has even built two new ponds, which have been populated with plants to accommodate the site’s Great Crested Newts. We hope you enjoy our newsletter and please do get in touch if you have any feedback for us or would like further information about Maudslay Park. Iwan Jones, Managing Director
