n a crisp winter afternoon in December the Millbrook Village team hosted a festive Mingle and Jingle for residents and prospective buyers. Visitors were invited to enjoy delicious home made mince pies and mulled wine while they tried their hand at a variety of activities, including creative gift-wrapping and truffle making. Resident-to-be, Mrs Valerie Norris, who has reserved an apartment at Millbrook Village, and her friend Linda Wilkinson came along and kindly gave up their time to demonstrate how to make beautiful floral table decorations for Christmas, which guests were able to take home with them. The Marketing Suite was abuzz with activity all afternoon and the master classes proved very popular, as did the Devon Wildlife

Residents enjoy first Christmas at Millbrook Village
W
e were thrilled to welcome our first residents to Millbrook Village in early December. Christmas 2014 was the village’s first Christmas, with several residents able to enjoy the festive season and celebrate the start of 2015 in their new home. Mr Keatt, who moved into his three-bedroom cottage at the end of November just as
the festive season was getting underway commented: “It was lovely to spend
Christmas in my new home and have my family come to visit. I’ve already made good friends with my neighbours and the location of the village, close to the city centre, is ideal. I also enjoyed attending the festive ‘Mingle and Jingle’ event in early December, which was organised by the Millbrook Village team and was a lovely opportunity to get together.”
t’s been a busy few months at Millbrook Village, with our hugely successful show home launch in September, our popular festive Mingle and Jingle event in December and our first residents moving into their new homes in time for Christmas. Developments such as Millbrook Village are becoming increasingly popular in the UK, as more people realise that moving into a retirement property doesn’t have to mean giving up your independence or standard of living. At Millbrook Village we’ve adopted our proven formula for a successful retirement village, offering the active, independent and social lifestyle that we know is cherished by our residents. A first of its kind for Exeter and located in a peaceful setting close to the river, the village comprises a selection of luxuriously appointed two- and three-bedroom cottages and one- and two-bedroom apartments exclusively for the over 55s. Within easy reach of the city centre, the properties are set within landscaped grounds and centred around a private clubhouse, featuring a superb range of country club style facilities. We hope you enjoy our newsletter and please do get in touch if you have any feedback for us or would like further information about Millbrook Village. Iwan Jones, Managing Director
