Welcome to the DSE Fair It is with great pleasure, the DSE team welcome you to the largest job and career fair for engineering students in Jutland, the DSE Fair Aalborg 2022. The DSE Fair is where more than 50 companies, start-ups and organizations are all looking forward to meet and talk to students and hopefully find their new intern or employee.

DSE Fair Aalborg 2022 is a great opportunity for students to meet company representatives and expand the professional network.

Building a network will make you, as a student, more attractive to the companies and give you an advantage in your pursuit of the future job or internship.

As a supplement to the fair booklet, remember to take a look in the company handbook Pejling 2022, where you can read more about the companies and obtain skills that empower your resume writing, upgrade your CV and how to improve your network.

We look forward to seeing you at the DSE Fair Aalborg 2022, October 12th and 13th at Gigantium.

The DSE Fair is arranged by DSE (Students’ Business Relations), which is an entirely voluntary student organization. DSE has around 50 members across two divisions with offices located in Ballerup, Lyngby, and Aalborg.

Most of our members are engineering students. DSE has been around for 30 years, and the relevancy of our services are as great as ever.

As an organization, DSE offers a lot of benefits as well as challenges for our members.

Apart from the DSE Fair, we arrange Focus Night but we also produce one of the best job finding tools in the country, Pejling.

Fair Guide shows that you have thought about your job application process and are serious about your interest in the company. If you have a CV with a portrait the company representatives are more likely to remember you.

A Helping hand The annual DSE Fair in Aalborg provides the perfect framework for networking with a broad spectrum of companies, one of which, might be your future employer. At the fair, you can get connections in the business world which can be highly valuable in your future search for a project, student job or even full-time job.

To help you get the most out of the fair and make good use of your time, we have some tips for you to prepare for the fair, using the tips below.

Be well prepared It is a good idea to ask yourself how you want your career to develop,and what should you do to achieve this? This mindset provides a solid basis for your conversation with the companies and helps you figure out whether a specific company fits your visions for the future.

Bring your CV When you bring your CV to the fair, it

You can also check your CV in different stands at the fair, to ensure it is up to date with the job market.

Know what you are looking for Is it a job or an internship?

Ideas and contacts for a project?

Or general inspiration? Whatever you are looking for, use this as the common thread through your visit and to help you make a prioritized list of which companies you want to visit. We recommend that you use the fair catalog to choose a top ten list of companies and visit them first. This way you avoid running out of steam before reaching the companies most relevant to you. You can always return to other companies later.

Remember to include lesser known companies on your list too – they can provide just as exciting opportunities.

Explore their websites Before visiting the fair, be sure to do some research on the companies you want to visit.

A good place to start is the companies’ websites, which provide all the basic information you need to prepare a thorough conversation with the company representative at the fair.

Once you have the basics covered, it is easier to prepare a list of relevant questions you want answered when visiting the company’s stand at the fair. It is a good idea to prepare these questions in advance. Bring it to ensure you explore each every oppertunity fully.

It will also help you to start interesting conversations with the companies.

At the fair Once you are at the fair, remember that the companies are there to make contact to students such as yourself – so don’t be afraid to make the initial contact; they are all very willing to answer your questions.

When you talk to the companies, remember to use your checklist to make sure you ask all the relevant questions and add new ones if they should arise during a conversation.

With just a few keywords you will be much closer to writing the CV or application that gets you the job interview.

Another notable aspect is the time – you can easily spend a couple of hours at the fair talking to interesting companies and attending the Company Presentations in the library so be sure to set aside sufficient time. Events During the Fair Opening speech To open the DSE Fair, we would like to invite you to our grand opening event at the Entrance of the fair at 9.45 Wednesday the 12th of October. Here, the DSE President Kristian Rasmussen will be giving a speech to kickstart the Fair.

The opening speech will be marked with free coffee, a croissant and a goodie bag for the first 50 attendees to give the best start at the fair day. We will start the handouts around 9.30. We encourage all fair attendees to hear the speech as it will set the stage for what the Fair can offer and greatly motivate you to be at your best for meeting all the companies.

Fair Lottery

At the Fair you have the opportunity to participate in our Fair lottery, where you have the chance to win great prizes.

All you have to do is: 1. Visit the info stand at the Fair and get a flyer.

2. Fill the flyer with stamps.

3. Hand in the filled flyer at the DSE stand and receive your tickets for the tombola, from which you can win one or more great prizes.

DSE Jobbank Let Jobindex guide you to companies and job opportunities at the DSE Fair Jobindex allows you to connect with employers and find student jobs, graduate programmes and full time positions.

Presentations of the Future Corporate World Do you want the opportunity to come close to a company, a project or a technology that is being used in the industry today? Then come see ­presentations by companies attending the DSE Fair to hear how they overcame big engineering projects, integrated new technologies or methods or even found a solution to a future problem.

Place: Time: Every presentation take 30 minutes in the time span from ­11:00 – 16:00 on both Fair days.
