Dr. Ricardo Rossello is a renowned scientist, best-selling author, distinguished professor, and former Governor of Puerto Rico. He possesses a rare combination of achievements across a range of elite disciplines, which he continues in his current role as Chief Vision Officer of the Regenerative Medicine Institute, a global leader in longevity and stem cell research. Dr. Rossello became the youngest Governor in the U.S. in 2017, at the age of 37, while also becoming the only Governor with a Ph.D. He enacted a series of sweeping reforms, approaching government with a scientist’s clarity of vision. He led the largest municipal restructuring in U.S. history and reduced the size of government by 20%. He prioritized carbon-zero commitments for the island and increased capacity for natural disasters while enacting stronger protections for marginalized groups. As Governor, Dr. Rossello was tasked with preparing for and then recovering from Hurricane Maria, one of the most devastating natural disasters in the nation’s history. His public negotiations with President Trump made him a widely known and popular public figure. In the summer of 2024, Dr. Rossello published a bestseller, The Reformer’s Dilemma and the Need for a Radical Middle. He is the current U.S. Congressional Delegate from Puerto Rico, becoming the first directly nominated elected official in island history. He is an adjunct professor of Public Policy at George Mason University in Virginia.
