DAY 3 SHANNON ESTUARY WAY
The Shannon Estuary Way is a place full of stories and storytellers and perhaps ones you won’t have heard of before – such as life living on and farming the Estuary Islands, how the reeds of the river are harvested to make thatch for houses, the tragic tale of Colleen Bawn, the punt guns along the Shannon and how St. Senan of Scattery Island defeated the serpent. That’s just to name a few! Day 3 will take you off the beaten track to the Shannon Estuary Way taking in the sites of Carrigaholt, Loop Head Lighthouse and Kilbaha Art Gallery - just some of the well kept secrets of the area. Stop for Lunch in The Long Dock dating back to the 1820's & steeped in history. The golden skies and warm breeze will greet you as you relax on your Atlantic Sunset Cruise with Sionnan Luxury Cruises.
