Friday 26th November Donal Maguire and Niamh Parsons | 8pm Opening the festival on Nov 26 live from the Morning Star, Tullyallen is Drogheda native Donal Maguire and Irish music legend Niamh Parsons. Donal or DJ, Maguire a native of Drogheda has enjoyed a long and successful career as a traditional and folk singer/musician for the past 50 years. Niamh Parsons is known as one as one of the most distinctive voices in Irish music. The concert will be followed by an open singing session which will feature local singers Carolanne and Declan Barber.

Saturday 27th November Antóin and Bernadette Mac Gabhann | 3pm Join The Mac Gabhann Family from Ashbourne on Saturday afternoon live from The Tholsel, West Street! A duo performance by fiddle players Antóin Mac Gabhann & his daughter Bernadette, a rare treat from this world renowned musical family.

This is the annual concert in honour of Caitlín Bean Uí Chairbre, who was instrumental in promoting traditional music and culture in Drogheda.

An Afternoon of Discussion & Song featuring John Moulden, Maire Ní Chróinín and Gerry Cullen | 2.30pm Discussing the importance of local ballad maker John Sheils and his vast store of local and other songs, as well as their importance on the national stage. This will be followed by an Open Singing Session featuring a host of well known local and national singers with special guest on the day Maire Ní Chróinín and Gerry Cullen!
