Connection 1, 2 & 3 All three strands of our visual arts initiative Connection are running until Sat Oct 3. Connection 3 launched on Culture Night 2020, brings our gallery outside. 9 artists, 9 buildings, curated by artist/curator Brian Hegarty, and featuring work by Namara Lindsay, John Moloney, Mark Templeton, Fran Cassidy, Claire Fitch, Helen McDonnell, Gee Vaucher, Sarah la Puerta, and Orla Fitzpatrick. According to Sydney | 8pm | Thu 1st Oct Rose Henderson brings her spirited, lively performance as Ruth to Droichead in this funny poignant character piece and we're delighted to welcome live theatre back to our venue. With limited capacity, adhering to all Covid protocols, most of our seats are taken up by our theatre club who missed out on shows in the spring, and this first show of our Autumn 2020 programme is unfortunately sold out.

Selkie | 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm | Sat 3rd Oct A short film, written and narrated by Grainne Rafferty, filmed and edited by Ewan McNulty, produced by Droichead Arts Centre, with funding from Creative Ireland, Selkie tells A story of how a Selkie came to be in Clogherhead. A story perfect for the current times. On the big screen for one morning, admission is free, but booking in advance is essential, no walk ups. Duration: 15 mins. BOOK NOW

Slow Sessions | 2.15pm | Sat 3rd Oct Our Slow Sessions are back this autumn in our gallery. Easy and well-known session tunes which are played slowly to enable people in the early stages of their playing or those returning to music to have an opportunity to play together in a friendly, supportive and informal setting, limited to 15 places and strictly adhering to social distancing guidelines. Masks are required. BOOK NOW The return of music, theatre & film to venues is only possible because we adhere to all government guidelines. Smaller audience, hand sanitisers, protective screens, signage, deep cleaning, masks & more. All shows must be booked in advance, no walk-ups. In our venue, there is limited capacity.
