In collaboration with Droichead Arts Centre. As part of an ongoing focus on diversity and inclusion in the community, specifically around diverse groups and their involvement in regional arts activities, AAEX will provide workshops and a visual arts programme. YOUNG PROGRAMMERS PROGRAMME

Droichead will work with fifteen second level students from secondary schools and Youthreach centres/organisations in Drogheda and East Meath. We want young people’s voices and perspectives reflected and represented in our programme, and we want to ensure that a diverse representation of young people will participate. Working with experienced facilitators Dave Kelly and Cathal Thornton, and Droichead’s Director, Collette Farrell, we plan to set up a project which will allow young people to programme and produce an event of their choice in our centre, from idea to realisation. The event can take any form and genre.

Recruitment will take place this September, with visits to secondary schools & youth organisations in Drogheda and East Meath.

DRAWDA OUTREACH PROGRAMME

Droichead Arts Centre and LOVE Drogheda BIDS, will once again work with primary schools and second level organisations. Resource packs will be sent to schools, in advance of visual arts workshops, followed by tours of the murals for all groups. Participants will create art inspired by the iconic mythology of the murals, and also learn more about the characters and stories behind the murals . DRAWDA Urban Art Trail Produced by Droichead Arts Centre and Love Drogheda B.I.D.S (Business Improvement District Scheme), in partnership with Louth County Council Arts Office and curators Dee Walsh and Brian Hegarty (33-45).
