My life journey begins in the vibrant city of Sana'a, Yemen, where I was born and raised in a middle-class family. My childhood was shaped by the values instilled by my parents, who emphasized the importance of education and hard work. Growing up, I was curious about the world around me and dedicated myself to excelling in school.
After completing high school, I faced an important decision about my higher education. I decided to pursue petroleum engineering, a choice influenced by family advice and the promising job opportunities in Yemen's oil sector. My uncle, who was a petroleum engineer himself, encouraged me to follow this path, and I believed it was the right decision given the country's focus on oil industry development at the time. Graduating from university marked a significant milestone, and I felt proud to contribute to Yemen's economy in this vital sector.
Reflecting on my motivation, I grew up observing my father's middle-class lifestyle and aspired to improve my quality of life through hard work. His experiences inspired me to aim for success not just for myself but also to elevate my family’s situation. This aspiration gave me a sense of purpose and pride in my efforts.
My first professional role was as a petroleum engineer at Yemen’s Petroleum Authority. Although I gained valuable experience, I was dissatisfied with the salary, which did not meet my expectations or support my financial ambitions. Despite this setback, I remained committed to my career, recognizing that experience and connections could lead to better opportunities in the future.
Most of my career has been dedicated to private business, where I have had the chance to work with the government and other organizations. I enjoyed the independence and the opportunity to innovate within my business ventures. Collaborating with government officials provided insight into the administrative
aspects of business and helped me develop essential leadership skills.
Looking forward, I have set several personal and professional goals. I aim to expand my business, contribute more significantly to Yemen’s economic development, and ensure a better future for my family. My motivation remains rooted in a desire to balance successful entrepreneurship with social responsibility. Regarding personal milestones, I got engaged in 1992. My fiancée's qualities and shared values made her the right partner for my future. Our relationship was supported by my mother's approval, which was very meaningful to me, strengthening my commitment and confidence in my personal life.
Throughout my life, I have experienced various challenges and achievements that have shaped me into the person I am today. Born and raised in Sana'a, Yemen, I have strived to balance personal ambitions with cultural and familial expectations. My journey continues as I seek to grow both professionally and personally, always aiming for a better tomorrow.
