This Is An Extension Of Last Assingmentyou Will Take the Presented Pr

This is an extension of last assignment. You will take the presented project that you submitted last week and develop the processes for your project. Use the five processes that we discussed in the lecture this week or you may choose a different set of processes that you have experience with as a project manager. In your paper, it is imperative that you support and defend the processes you choose as to how they are the best fit and best practices for your project. The assignment submission should be words of text.

A minimum of two external sources must be used in conjunction with the course materials. Only one may be found on the internet (not Wikipedia). The other must be found in the Grantham University online library. Please use the correct APA format consistently throughout this assignment. Only the body of the paper will count towards the page requirement. Please include a title page.

Paper For Above instruction

The extension of the previous assignment involves developing and justifying the specific processes for the project submitted earlier. As a project manager, selecting effective processes is crucial for project success, ensuring that objectives are met efficiently and effectively. This paper discusses the five processes from project management frameworks such as PMI’s PMBOK, or alternatively, a set of processes experienced directly by the project manager, outlining their relevance and appropriateness for the project's scope and characteristics.

The five processes typically include Initiation, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing. Each process encompasses specific activities vital for the structured progression of the project. This paper emphasizes providing a detailed explanation of each process, supported by scholarly and credible sources, to demonstrate why this process set aligns with best practices and the project's specific needs.

**Initiation Process**: The initiation phase establishes the groundwork for project success by defining its purpose, scope, stakeholders, and objectives. It involves conducting feasibility studies, developing a project charter, and identifying stakeholders. In my project, the initiation process involves engaging key stakeholders early to ensure their needs and expectations are accurately captured, which aligns with best practices for stakeholder management (Schwalbe, 2018).

**Planning Process**: Effective planning is paramount for project clarity and resource management. This

process includes scope planning, schedule development, resource planning, risk management, and communication planning. In my project, I propose adopting the waterfall model for planning, emphasizing detailed documentation, which supports project control and clarity (Kerzner, 2017). Using a comprehensive project management plan helps mitigate risks and ensures resource allocation aligns with project requirements.

**Executing Process**: During execution, the project work is performed according to the plan. This process involves task implementation, team management, quality assurance, and communication. Successful execution relies on effective leadership and communication strategies. I plan to use Agile techniques mixed with traditional project management to adapt to changing conditions while maintaining control (Highsmith, 2019). This hybrid approach allows flexibility while ensuring deliverables are met on time.

**Monitoring and Controlling Process**: Continuous oversight ensures the project stays on track. It includes performance measurement, change control, issue management, and quality control. In my project, I recommend implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) and regular status meetings to facilitate early detection of deviations. Using Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques will provide quantitative measures of project performance (Fleming & Koppelman, 2016).

**Closing Process**: Formal project closure confirms that all activities are completed and stakeholders agree on project acceptance. It involves deliverables validation, documentation, release of project resources, and lessons learned documentation. This phase ensures knowledge transfer and project documentation, contributing to organizational learning and future project success (PMI, 2017).

Support for these process choices is grounded in industry standards and academic research. The PID (Project Initiation Document), detailed planning, flexible execution strategies, rigorous monitoring, and formal closure are considered best practices in project management (PMI, 2017). By defending these processes with aligned scholarly sources, I demonstrate their suitability for effective project delivery.

In conclusion, the selected processes for my project follow established frameworks and cater to the specific needs identified in the project scope. Combining traditional and adaptive methodologies, supported by credible academic sources, ensures a comprehensive management approach. Implementing these processes will promote project success through structured phases, stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement. The integration of these practices aligns with industry standards

and enhances overall project performance, ultimately contributing to organizational goals.
