This Cumulative Assignment Allows You To Consider Everything You Have This cumulative assignment allows you to consider everything you have learned over the past 5 weeks and attempt to change a behavior of your own. This overall process is similar to what a board-certified behavior analyst would complete with a new client. The behavior I have chosen to change is my sleep pattern. I struggle with getting enough rest on a daily basis, often feeling drowsy during activities or when watching movies. Currently, I sleep about 4 to 5 hours per night, which impacts my functioning, health, and overall well-being. To improve, I aim to increase my sleep to at least 8 hours per night by implementing a behavioral intervention plan.

Paper For Above instruction Target Behavior Description The target behavior for this intervention plan is increasing nightly sleep duration. Currently, I sleep approximately 4 to 5 hours each night, which is considered insufficient for optimal health and functioning. My goal is to consistently achieve at least 8 hours of sleep per night, reducing daytime fatigue and improving cognitive and physical health. Dimensions of Measurement/Baseline Measurement Baseline data will be recorded over three days using a sleep tracking app on my phone, which accurately logs sleep and wake times. I will write down my actual bedtime and awakening time each morning to determine total sleep duration. The variables measured include the bedtime, wake-up time, and total hours of sleep. During this baseline period, I will monitor my habitual sleep patterns without making any changes, establishing a clear picture of my current sleep habits and variability. Function of the Baseline Behavior The current sleep pattern appears to be influenced by poor sleep habits, such as inconsistent bedtime routines and delayed sleep onset. The behavior may function as a form of escape from daily stressors or as a result of poor time management. It might also serve to reduce immediate stress or anxiety about preparing for bed, although it ultimately leads to insufficient rest, which impairs daytime functioning and health.
