To fulfill this, a structured PowerPoint presentation is to be developed, comprising an introductory slide, core evidence and analysis slides, and a concluding slide summarizing findings and reflections.

Introduction For my presentation, I selected a scenario involving the correlation between physical activity and cardiovascular health in adults. This topic interests me deeply because of my fascination with health sciences and the growing need to interpret health data accurately. The scenario I chose is relevant as it reflects real-world concerns about promoting exercise for disease prevention, and analyzing relevant data can help develop evidence-based health recommendations.

Visuals and Evidence The core of the presentation involves showcasing data that establish the relationship between physical

activity levels—measured in weekly minutes of exercise—and cardiovascular health indicators, such as blood pressure and cholesterol levels. I created a data table with variables including age, gender, exercise minutes, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels.

From this data, I produced a scatterplot illustrating the relationship between weekly exercise and systolic blood pressure, which often reveals trends such as decreased blood pressure with increased physical activity. Additionally, I included a bar chart comparing average cholesterol levels across different exercise categories, providing a visual understanding of the data.

Furthermore, I conducted simple calculations, such as correlation coefficients, to quantify the strength of the relationship. Analyzing the visuals, I note that some data points, like age or gender, are less relevant for this specific analysis of exercise and cardiovascular health, as they do not directly influence the variable of interest or introduce confounding factors. These non-essential data points can be excluded to streamline the analysis.

The selected visuals—scatterplots and bar charts—were chosen because they effectively depict the relationships between variables, highlighting trends and differences. The scatterplot demonstrates the inverse relationship between exercise and blood pressure, indicating that increased activity is associated with better cardiovascular health. The bar chart emphasizes how cholesterol levels vary with exercise habits.

Conclusion In summary, my presentation revisited the scenario of physical activity impacting cardiovascular health.

Based on analyzed data and visualizations, I conclude that increased exercise is associated with lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels, supporting the health benefits of regular physical activity.

The findings relate to real-world health promotion strategies, as encouraging increased activity can significantly reduce cardiovascular risk. I am reasonably confident in this conclusion, given the consistency across visuals and calculations. However, to enhance confidence, further work involving larger and more diverse datasets, controlling for confounding factors such as age and gender, would be necessary.

Working on this project reinforced the importance of data visualization and statistical measures in health research. It demonstrated how to discern relevant information from datasets, select appropriate visuals, and

interpret data meaningfully. Overall, this experience improved my analytical skills and my ability to communicate quantitative findings effectively.
