The Internet is used by more and more people every day. 40% of the world population has Internet access today whereas only 1% of the world population had Internet access in 1995 (Internet Users of the World, 2016). The Internet has had a significant impact on the economy. According to Domick, “Experts estimate that the Internet has created about 1.2 million jobs” (Dominick, 2012, p. 131). How I Use the internet I use the Internet all day, every day. I manage a website and electronic communications for my job. I use social media, online shopping, online banking, and get my news from the Internet. We have four computers in our home, two Chromebooks and an iPad. Personally, I utilize the internet extensively across various aspects of life. From managing a website and professional communications to engaging with social media, online shopping, banking, and news consumption, the internet has become indispensable.
