The rise of youth vaping has prompted regulatory agencies to investigate marketing practices and enforce stricter controls. Juul’s colorful designs and appealing flavors have been criticized as marketing tools targeted at adolescents, which raises ethical concerns about the prioritization of profits over public health (McKelvey, 2020).

Research suggests that marketing that glamorizes nicotine use contributes to higher initiation rates among youth (Farrelly et al., 2012). Consequently, regulations such as flavor bans and restrictions on marketing to minors are vital in reducing underage nicotine use.

Public health campaigns emphasizing the dangers of nicotine addiction are essential in combating the cultural normalization of vaping among teens. Education programs in schools can serve as preventive measures, highlighting the health risks associated with smoking and vaping. Healthcare providers also play a crucial role in screening for nicotine dependence and providing cessation support. Personal stories, such as my own struggle to quit nicotine, serve as compelling evidence of the addictive potential of these substances and the importance of early intervention. Ultimately, society must balance corporate innovation and economic gains with ethical responsibility and public health priorities.

Legislation and policy reforms are fundamental in addressing both workplace discrimination and youth nicotine addiction. Anti-discrimination laws must be enforced more vigorously, and organizations should embed diversity and inclusion into their core values. Meanwhile, stricter regulations on marketing and sale

of vaping products are necessary to protect minors. Community awareness campaigns and educational initiatives further reinforce these efforts, fostering a culture of responsibility and respect. The combined approach of legal, corporate, and societal actions can mitigate these issues and promote healthier, fairer communities.
