Envisioned by this ideal, Tongrentang has gone through 350 years of history from herbs to royal medicine to health tonics. Even if one has not stepped into Tongrentang medicine shop, its reputation has probably branded in the hearts of every Chinese. However, when you doubted whether Tongrentang was out of date and only a signboard left, it has done something big.

In 2020, the new brand Zhima Health owned by Tongrentang was officially launched. Relying on the brand-new Zhima Health Concept Store, the immersive shopping experience that completely subverted tradition has began formally. The old brand is showing its strength in a younger, trendier and broader way. From today on, Zhima Health is your new activity center in the city.

Rimadesio Showroom in Hangzhou Project Commissioner The Madison Group Creator GFD

Team Designers: Ye Fei, Liu Huaying The project is situated in Gongyuan Building within the commercial hub of Xihu District, Hangzhou. Designed by the German architecture firm gmp Architekten, the building is a local modern landmark. The interior layout of the showroom follows the rigorous architectural structure, which complements Rimadesio’s Italian-style simplistic luxurious aesthetics.

Team Junjian Sun, Junliang Cai Zhanglin Deng, Fenglin Li, Yan Huang “In the late fall season, Shuo Fang, the north region, had demonstrated to people its strong military, great fabrics, and abundance of moose populations. This is where the land of fish and rice, and is where the land of animal husbandry,” written in the Volume 93 of the “Biography of Wang Jun, Old Book of Tang.” The land of fish and rice, depicted in that book, is where that provides plenty of rice and fish for its adjacency to water. The land, generally, refers to the place with abundant products.

Team Shih-Ming, Liu / Cheng-Ham, Lin / Shih-Ming, Lo With the client’s expectation of providing a highquality dining culture, the design team created a bright and open dining environment based on the respecting the local environment concept with a modern and concise design techniques. Besides, in order to integrate the designed space into the surrounding streetscape, the materials used in the construction process also have heritage meaning. The design team continuously digs from the client’s collection inventory and use it. The materials are used to create a unique space texture by reusing old things, and the spacious and flexible dining environment increase the functionality of the venue.

WOWDSGN Shanghai MixC Store Project Commissioner/Creator Shanghai United Design Group

Team lihongkai WOWDSGN is a Nordic collection brand for home furnishing. The WOWDSGN Shanghai MixC Store is the first offline furniture store. It projects customers’ impressions of daily life on the interior to recall customers’ subtle perception and memory. Our idea applies a series of natural form, presenting the idea of “return to nature”, which coincides with Nordic furniture as well. The multiple arches offer independent bays which become a series of scenes. Arches reveal their spatial tension rather than structural and mechanical properties. In this case, we take the authority of geometric form and even transform it. The curved arch not only obtains spatial tension but also converge dramatic scenography through different directions. In addition, the material of the arches is inspired by Alvar Aalto’s bending woods. The cherry veneer coated with varnish was applied to the arches.
