The Asset Management Solutions Division provides customisable processes which include product rental, auditing, decontamination, servicing and repair, which are adapted to your needs. The operations of Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare Ltd are certified to BS EN ISO 9001.

Rental Solutions

Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare recognise that budgets are under constant pressure. Each account is considered on a case by case basis to ensure the most cost effective solution isprovided, allowing you to have complete control of finances while maintaining effective patient care.

The rental service is fully supported by a dedicated team that can provide a timely delivery and installation of the equipment within your facility, with product training available throughout.

Daily, weekly, long term and block rental options are available for dynamic and static mattresses,

beds, cushions, seating systems, hoists and bariatric packages. An Ad-hoc rental service can also be provided if required.

A nationwide network of Service Centres ensure excellent product response times throughout the country.

Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare appreciates that product maintenance requirements differ between organisations; a range of flexible Service Solutions are offered which can be individually tailored to suit your specific needs.

Technical support is available 24/7, with local service centres helping to provide exceptional product servicing turnarounds. Ad-hoc service solutions can also be provided if required.

Your organisation can be provided with a product maintenance scheme which is structured to your precise needs. Responsive, well equipped and fully trained engineers are able to identify potential problems before they arise, helping to reduce equipment failures and product downtime.

Whilst if a product issue does occur, guaranteed response times combined with knowledge on a wide variety of products can, in many cases, efficiently resolve the problem on site. In the event that a repair cannot be carried out on site, Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare can provide an equivalent replacement product until the repair is complete.

Decontamination services are carried out at each of Drive DeVilbiss Service & Training Centres, where all staff are specifically trained on infection control protocol and relevant cleaning procedures.

The Decontamination Service includes the collection of your equipment, full decontamination in accordance with cleaning guidelines, certification and the return and re-installation of your equipment.

Specialist thermal and chemothermal disinfection programmes safely decontaminate soiled equipment in accordance with Department of Health NHS guidelines (HSG (95) 18).

Innovative technology combines powerful heaters with faster programme cycles for a high cleaning performance, dependable and validated results. Load-size specific wash cycles and enhanced water recovery modules significantly reduce energy and water consumption, improving both environmental and financial based results.

The Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare service and training centres have the capability to offer bespoke decontamination solutions for other equipment, such as profiling beds, rise and recliners, hoists and trolleys.

All infection prevention and cleaning policies are written in accordance with the most current legislation and guidance from industry recognised bodies such as the Infection Prevention Society (IPA), Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA) and the UK Department of Health.

Tracking & Traceability

The Drive Devilbiss Service and Rentals application uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Technology to enable accurate and flexible tracking of goods and services, offering increased visibility and control to customers.

The application has been introduced to maximise efficiency, both internally and externally, and ultimately reduce customer costs. Field engineers can receive jobs while in transit and on-site, providing increased efficiency and job count capabilities. This results in enhanced stock control, traceability of product parts and improved ordering/invoicing productivity. Real time data and trend analysis also enables Drive Devilbiss and its partners to make product based decisions, delivering reduced costs for your organisation.

‘Engage’ is the customer interface element of the Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare RFID system used within the Rental process. This system provides a simplified

channel to request, cancel and move hires within organisations, while RFID tags ensure each component of a product has been individually tracked throughout rental, servicing, decontamination and installation procedures.

The system allows customers to reduce costs by stopping payments from the moment each individual rental is cancelled. Equipment can be tracked and traced electronically at every stage of a products life cycle. RFID tags are also used to effectively manage workflow and create a clear audit data trail.

The Drive Devilbiss process for dealing with a Contaminated Product in just seven easy steps. We handle the process quickly and safely - from collection to return.

Equipment is collected from your organisation. Contaminated products enter via the ‘Red Room’, where all contaminated equipment is contained

Equipment is manually inspected prior to decontamination to ensure it is in safe and good working order

07Deep clean decontamination process is independently validated to ensure the temperature reached 71°C for at least 3 minutes of the wash cycle (MHRA Guidelines)

Our audit service provides a thorough assessment of your processes and equipment from infection control, patient welfare and appropriate use perspectives. A variety of audit services are available:

Equipment Condition Assessment This identifies the condition of your mattresses, beds, ward chairs and hoists in situ at any given time. Comprehensive reports are provided detailing what is, and what is not, fit for purpose.

Pressure Ulcer Prevalence This type of audit seeks to identify both the overall number and the severity of pressure ulcers at a Trust or Health Board at the time of the audit. The aim is to review areas such as conformance to ‘best practice guidelines’, the timing of risk assessments and the implementation of preventative strategies.

Appropriate Equipment Usage Care providers often waste vast amounts of money using dynamic mattress systems where they may not be necessary. This audit looks at the type of surfaces being used to nurse patients and whether this is suitable for each individual.

Mattress Management Review This is of particular benefit to a Trust or Health Board which may be experiencing a high volume of damage to mattresses. The storage, transportation and cleaning procedures are all scrutinised to ensure costs are kept at a minimum

Asset Register Management Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare can update existing asset registers or create entirely new ones informing customers of what exactly they have and in what volumes. Information delivered can include product age, serial numbers and whether the equipment is owned or hired.

The Clinical Team can attend your organisations educational and study events, Link Nurse meetings and other occasions which they could be of a benefit to your staff and patients. Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare have the resources to produce case studies, training materials and content specifically suited to your requirements which fully meet CQC standards.

Targeted Auditing Clinical Tool (TACT) TACT is a custom made clinical audit tool which covers key areas in relation to tissue viability and the appropriate use of equipment.

Our advisors will work closely with your clinicians to develop bespoke ward based audits tailored to the specific requirements of your Trust. This ensures reports can be provided which are relevant to your precise clinical priorities.
