We received reports that there might be something in the canals between San Felipe, Punta Bonaire and Palo Seco. We are pleased to report the divers did not find anything major, only old crab traps and other miscellaneous stuff on the bottom. So, we can reasonably reassure folks they will not damage their boats in that area.
It will make access to the Gulf better and may be the extra boost to the Island as well as the City. Remember, if you are going to park at the boat ramps, you need a sticker on the trailer available at the office for $10, and a sticker on the vehicle towing the trailer, also available at the office for $5.
Real estate activity seems to be picking up on the Island.
The palm trees on Sea Pines are doing well. They are being watered on a schedule. We hope to add more in the next three medians soon.
The Litter Critter this past weekend was another bonanza for the scrap metal folks and other recyclers. John White estimates at least 20% of the stuff that is brought in is taken back out. We are pleased the City works with us on bringing the bins out on the last weekend of every month.
Real estate activity seems to be picking up on the Island. The requests for resale certificates, which the title companies need to close a sale, have definitely increased over the last month.
The summer boat parade is July 4. So, hope you are able to join in the fun of watching the decorated boats as they move from the Yacht Club down the south channel. We are fortunate to have two boat parades during the year!
Be sure to pickup your tickets for the Island Night at the Hooks, July 19. Reserved seat tickets are just $5. Game time is 7:05 PM. Join your neighbors for a fun night at the ballpark. Have a safe 4th!
The Park Road 22 bridge may be getting closer to reality. There have been many meetings trying to get that bridge construction moving. We are getting closer. The extension of the canal under the bridge into Lake Padre will help with the water exchange in our back canals.
