Through the initiative, Harvard Faculty have had the opportunity to share their ECD knowledge through a range of ad-hoc events, many of which have aimed to mobilize Brazilian decision-makers, policymakers and practitioners. The following sample provides a taste of such efforts.

2013: Brazil & the 21st Century Symposium at Harvard
A select group of ~50 high-level Brazilian politicians, industry leaders, and social entrepreneurs attended the roundtable “Building Human Capital from the Start: Brazil/Harvard Partnerships” moderated by Harvard’s Vice-Provost of International Affairs and featuring Jack Shonkoff, Wafaie Fawzi and Gigi Luk. 2019: Charles Nelson and colleagues discuss foster care vs institutional care at Ministry of Citizenship in Brasília


2021: Meredith Rowe and colleagues share what everyone should know about parentchild interactions and language development
