This capital project involves rebuilding tennis courts, installing workout station canopies, and adding new signage, picnic tables, bleachers, and toddler seat swings. It also plans for an ADAcompliant toddler playset for children under 5 in Fiscal Year 2025, alongside tree maintenance and landscaping enhancements.

Replacement of a failing timber structure with 12x10 foot precast concrete culverts spanning 78 feet. It includes enhanced drainage, a 2 foot curb and gutter, 1.5 foot stamped concrete, and 6 foot wide sidewalk spanning 400 feet.
New Hope Road Sidewalks
New curb and gutter for drainage and 5' wide sidewalks that will tie into Campbellton and New Hope Road, offset from the back of curb by a 2' stamped concrete strip improvements.
Fulton Industrial @ Cascade Intersection Improvements
This project is in the design phase to improve Westbound Approach on Cascade Road from a single shared to a three-lane approach with exclusive left turn through lane and right turn lanes. Eastbound Approach from a two-lane approach to a three-lane approach including exculsive left-turn, thorugh lane, and right-turn lanes. Northbound and Southbound left turn alignment on Fulton Industrial Blvd/SR70 will be improved to align left-turns within the existing landscaped median. This will include sidewalks on both sides of FIB between Lakeview Court and Westpark Place.

Fairburn Rd Phase II - Sidewalks & Culverts
The project is located on Fairburn Road, starting at approximately 650 feet South of Cascade Road and continuing to North Utoy Creek. The total approximate length of project is 0.5 centerline miles. The typical section includes 12 foot travel lanes, 30 inches curb and gutter, an 8-10-foot wider sidewalk on the West side with a 6-foot-wide sidewalk on the east side. The sidewalk will have a buffer of 2-foot stamped concrete strip on both sides of Fairburn Road. Improvements also include bridge replacements at North and South Utoy Creek with bottomless culverts that are pre-fabricated structures which will be 60 and 54 feet wide. Construct in-fill sidewalks in gap along Union Road from Campbellton Road to Vandiver Road.
Fulton Industrial Blvd and Westpark Place Intersection Improvements
Improve the intersection of Fulton Industrial Blvd and Westpark Place. The left turn lanes on FIB would be offset to increase sight distancing for turning vehicles. A restricted crossing U-Turn (R-CUT) intersection will be constructed at the interesection.
Rocky Head Road Dust Abatement
Phase I: Dust Abatement on 900 foot long unpaved road from Owl Rock to Union Road. Phase II: Complete Street Design with 11 foot lanes, 5 foot sidewalks, 2 foot stamped concrete beauty strip, 30 inch curb and gutters on both sides of the street as well as a closed drainage system.
Boat Rock Road Resurfacing
Deep base repair, milling, resurface and stripe from Campbellton Road to Fulton Industrial Boulevard.
Kimberly Road at Cascade Road Intersection Improvement
The proposed project will add a new traffic signal that will use vehicle detection to improve operations. The signal will include pedestrian operation. The intersection will include additional turn lanes, upgraded sidewalk, curb and gutter and signage.
New Hope Sidewalks
This 1.75-mile project provides pedestrian facilities along New Hope Road between Campbellton Road and Danforth Road. Proposed improvements include new curb and gutter for drainage and 5 foot wide sidewalks, offset from the back of curb by a 2 foot stamped stamped concrete strip. The project will tie into the Campbellton sidewalks at New Hope Road and Boat Rock Road.
Cascade Road Sidewalks
This project is in the design phase and involves 120 parcels of land that will need to be acquired. Construction of sidewalks from the City of Atlanta Limits to Fulton Industrial Boulevard are projected to begin constructrion in 2026.
Loch Lomond Culvert Replacement
This project involves the replacement of the existing 12'x5'x50' culvert at the crossing of Loch Lomond Trail over Kimberly Creek. The proposed replacement structure is a double 9'x6'x59' box culvert.

The bulk waste removal service allows you to schedule the pickup of oversized or bulky items that cannot be accommodated in regular waste collection. Bulk waste pickup for District 1 & 2 residents will be on the first Monday of each month, you will need to schedule your bulk collection by calling 470-552-4311.
Solid Waste invoices will be sent out from the Fulton County Tax Commissioner Arthur Ferdinand and are due August 1, 2024. The bill covers the service period June 1, 2024 to May 31, 2025. The solid waste bill is $233.16 and pays for weekly garbage, monthly bulk collections, Merk Miles Citizens Convenience Center, street sweeping, litter collections, Bulk Collections, Paper Shredding and Recycling events.
Solid waste bills must be paid in full by the due date. Interest will be charged per month beginning the day after the due date and continuing until the bill is paid in full. Additionally, a penalty will be charged at a rate of 5% on the 120th day after the due date and will continue to accrue 5% every 120 days until paid in full or until it reached a maximum of 20%.
The Merk Miles Transfer Station Facility, operated by the City of South Fulton, is a solid waste convenience center serving both residents and non-residents for disposing of household municipal solid waste.

Fulton County residents over the age of 2 can receive two test kits. Individuals must be present to receive the test kits.

The Uber/Lyft program offers Fulton County seniors aged 60 and above transportation services. Eligible participants pay a one-time $15 registration fee and a $1 per ride charge, billed monthly. They are allowed up to 16 rides per month, with a 15-mile limit for medical trips and 10 miles for other purposes. Only one round-trip is permitted per day.
