Otronia Wines of Patagonia

Alejandro Bulgheroni Collections of Wineries

You could almost not find a harder place to grow grapes than Patagonia, on the southern tip of Argentina. Three to four degrees cooler than the already frosty Uco Valley, with little rain and prevailing winds often over one hundred Kilometres per hour. Planting vines and making wines at the base of South American is not for the faint hearted.

Alkina Barossa Valley, Australia

Alejandro Bulgheroni Collections of Wineries

Alkina is a new story on an old place. We seek to understand, nurture, care for and ultimately express this beautiful land in our wines, our values and our experiences for visitors. The farm is on the traditional lands of the Ngadjuri people and Alkina is an Indigenous Australian girl’s name meaning ‘moon’. We seek to honor the land’s Aboriginal history, to learn from their farming philosophy and to promote the idea of guardianship rather than ownership.

Cristom Vineyards

Willamette Valley, Oregon

Cristom Vineyards is in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA, an independent volcanic island chain in the center of the Willamette Valley, Oregon. The soils are dynamic and varied and the winds can be fierce defining our region and hillside and help to craft wines with a foundation of bright acid structure.

The five estate vineyards – Eileen, Jessie, Louise, Marjorie and Paul Gerrie Vineyard – are all named for family members of the founding Gerrie family. Each site is farmed with the attention to maximize the potential of the vintage and express the natural variances in soil, elevation and exposition in the glass.

Scheid Family Vineyards

Monterey,

California

Al Scheid set his roots in Monterey County in 1972, embracing his role as a pioneer of winegrowing in the region. Al’s outlook has always been that life is an adventure, and this attitude served him well as he embarked on the journey of a lifetime.

He has always said that if he had planned to build a family wine business, it never would have happened. Instead, he moved forward through his innate entrepreneurial spirit, relationship building, sheer hard work, a healthy dose of courage and as he’s the first to admit, more than a bit of luck.

Metz Road

Riverview Vineyards

Scheid Family

Steeped in granitic soils and perched on a cool, windy benchland in the Salinas Valley, Riverview Vineyard (340 acres) conjures the extraordinary terroir of Burgundy. The vineyard’s hilly terrain is undoubtedly shaped by its proximity to Monterey Bay. Summer heat is tempered by coastal fog that rolls down through the valley each evening, blanketing the vines with cool air that helps the grapes retain their natural acidity. Meanwhile, strong valley winds whip through the hillsides, imbuing the finished wine with distinct aromatic and textural qualities.
