The Floyd County Technical High School
The Tech School as many call it is an option for students wishing to get hands-on experience in a field of work. Students are transported to Coosa Valley Technical High where they go to class with other students from around the county. These students can participate in classes that are geared toward a certain career. Every other day students get an in depth look at what most of them hope to be their future careers. Students who are also interested in working at a job can go to the Technical High school and participate in a class called DCT. DCT helps students learn how to succeed in the work place. They are taught how to properly fill out a resume and how the economy affects their prospects in the work force.
Construction and automotives are also among other popular programs.
