" I've had the privilege of playing Little League, Colt League, High School Baseball and High School Football for Coach Gilbreath, but I have also have had the opportunity to Coach with him I've learned more about baseball, coaching, people, and life in general than if I played for him 100 years. Never in my life have I seen one individual give so much to a community."

Quotes from Coach Gilbreath by Coach Knight
1. " If you ' re going to be a ball player, you've got to dress like one."
A famous statement Coach Hunnicutt remembers:
"He always addressed me as a player as 'Hey, Honey,' we got the 'honey'."
2
. " Knight you're putting grey hairs in my head ."
3. " Son , you run like a wounded giraffe. "
4. " When the battle starts , the players with char· acter are like cream, they rise to the top."
Our journey back in time would not be complete without a special " thanks " to Coach Gilbreath for his continued dedication to Pepperell schools
"One thing that I remember about Coach Gilbreath is that he has always been present for school activities , sports, and other pro· grams.
In sports, he took a positive approach. I remember his telling his players, including me, that they were good enough to win."
