We believe in rewarding children for personal progress. It doesn’t matter how “bad” you are at taekwondo when you start. Frankly, almost everyone is bad at almost everything when they start. What matters is how much you improve and the only way to do that is to put in the work. Even if your kid doesn’t win, it is their personal progress that matters.

There Are No Short Cuts to Success

True, some kids are naturally gifted at taekwondo. But they don’t get a shortcut to success either. There is always more challenge to be had, and to truly succeed every kid will have to put in the effort. There are no trophies for just showing up in taekwondo.

You have to improve on your own skills.

Their Disability Doesn’t Have to Hold Them Back

Taekwondo summer camp is perfectly accessible for children with a wide range of disabilities. Our staff are trained to be supportive of those children who have anything from a developmental to a physical disability. Your child can still progress, learn, and grow, and that’s a valuable way to teach them that their disability doesn’t have to hold them back.

They Can Make New Friends from Competitors

Taekwondo is an individual sport, where you compete on your own. But that doesn’t mean your child won’t be making friends. Honorable competition can still create friendships. And there is a sense of camaraderie in our dojo, where everyone respects everyone else. Your child will learn that they don’t have to be on the same team to be friends.

Their Body is Capable of More Than They Knew

As children grow, they increase in strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, and all the other essential physical skills. There is great joy in discovering the limits of your body, how hard you can kick, how well you can block, and much more.
