Managers’ Message Firstly, I would like to welcome everyone connected with Llanelli Town to the Orange Llama Stadium for today’s game. We hope their players, management team, officials and supporters enjoy their visit. Looking back at our last match against Pontypridd United, I felt we produced a very good first-half performance. We competed well, played some positive football and showed that we were more than capable of causing a strong Pontypridd side problems.
Unfortunately, a ten-minute lapse in concentration during the second half proved costly. At this level, you will be punished when you switch off, particularly against a side with the quality Pontypridd possess. Although the final score was 4–1, I do not believe it reflected the overall balance of the game or the performance our players produced for long periods. However, we cannot feel sorry for ourselves. We must learn from those moments, remain together and respond in the right way. I have so much faith in this group and genuinely believe in the quality and character we have within the changing room. We are still developing as a team, but the commitment and attitude of the players have been excellent. It was great to see Luke Gullick score on his debut. Scoring in your first appearance is always a special moment, and hopefully it will be the first of many goals for him in a Dracs shirt. We are also delighted to welcome Nathan Mathias back to the club. Nathan knows what Cardiff Draconians is about and his experience, quality and character will be a big addition to the group. Today brings another difficult challenge against a strong Llanelli side. We know we will need to concentrate from the first whistle until the last, compete for everything and be brave when we have possession. Whatever happens, the players and staff will give everything for the badge. We are determined to bounce back and with the continued backing of our supporters, I am confident that results will come. Thank you for your support, and I hope you all enjoy the game.

A Historic Day for the Dracs!
It was a historic and incredibly special day for our club last Saturday as some of our newly formed mini and junior teams came together to mark the First Team’s first home Cymru South game of the season. This summer has marked a new dawn for Cardiff Draconians, with a huge focus on growth and development throughout the club - from our U7s right through to the First Team.
The decisions and work taking place behind the scenes are about building something sustainable, creating opportunities for our young players and laying strong foundations for success for many years to come.
A massive thank you to everyone who came along. What a crowd we had getting behind the team! Most importantly, it was fantastic to see so many of our young players experiencing the First Team environment, watching their footballing pathway in action and, hopefully, imagining what it could one day be like to pull on the Dracs shirt and represent the club at the highest level. From the youngest Dracs to the First Team - one club, one pathway, one future. The future is bright.

Interview with Myles Myles Corson said he is “happy to be back” at Cardiff Draconians. Corson was part of the squad, which competed in their first ever season at Cymru South last year, where he appeared in 12 games and scored two goals, before leaving to sign for Cardiff Corinthians in January. However, Corson rejoined the Dracs this summer and has gone on to play every game so far this season, including making his home debut last time out against Pontypridd United last Saturday. He shares with media officer Joshua Thomas his thoughts on his return, last weekend’s defeat with Ponty and facing Llanelli Town this afternoon. JT: Myles, thanks for joining me, you re-joined the club this summer, how great is to be back? MC: Yeah, it’s good. The boys are working hard. Conditions are tough, but it’s a good group of lads. I am happy to be back. JT: How have you found things so far since coming back in pre-season and being back with the lads again? MC: It’s different. Players have gone, new players have come in. I technically count myself as a new boy again as well. But, you know, the team is still gelling. It’s a good group of lads, and hopefully we’ll kick on. JT: How do you feel your game has grown since coming back?
MC: I’ve matured a bit, obviously working hard. I’m doing a job at right-back now as well, helping the team out. Nothing changes, just obviously keep working hard for the boys and see how far we can go JT: How have you found playing at right-back, I know your position is as a winger, but what is it like being at full-back, what have you learned from your experience so far?
MC: It’s different but have to do what’s needed to help the team out. It’s a lot more defensive work than what I’m used to as well but you pick up little things as you go along especially when playing alongside experienced defenders who can talk to you throughout the game.
JT: A disappointing result with Pontypridd United, what positives did you take from it, especially the first-half? MC: The first half we were doing well, we forced them to make changes, match us up. Unfortunately, the injury (to Amani Babah) was a little bit of a set back and then obviously second half we didn’t come out the way we wanted to. JT: You made your home debut on Saturday, just how great was it to be back playing at the Orange Llama Stadium? MC: Yeah, it was really good, a lot of fans came down for the home opener, which is always good to see. It wasn’t the result we were hoping for in the end, but we still really appreciate everyone who came down to watch and support the boys.
JT: What will you take from our game with Pontypridd United into today with Llanelli Town? What have you learned about yourselves? MC: Yeah, obviously, it was a bit out of character (against Pontypridd United), but we know we have got it in us. Everyone is going to have an off game every now and again, so, hopefully that next one doesn’t make the same mistakes and play our best.
JT: What are your thoughts on Llanelli Town, they’ve had a tough start to season so far too haven’t they? MC: Every team in this league is going to be a hard game. No one is going to be easy on their day. Anyone could beat anyone. So, we’re not going to put it past them to be an easy team. We are going out there, play the way we normally do and hopefully get three points. JT: You have started to play as right-back, what is that like, is that a lot to adjust to? Match Report Pontypridd United Orange Llama Stadium , Lydstep Park – 15th August 2026 – Attendance: 386 Match Report: Dracs v Pontypridd United by Josh Thomas Cardiff Draconians fell to a 4-1 defeat against Pontypridd United in their first home match of the season last Saturday. Ponty took the lead through Ethan Edwards, after the left-winger picked up former Dracs defender Clayton Farrah’s cross, before curling the ball into the bottom corner after 40 minutes. But the visitors lead didn’t last for long as Nana Baah’s men grabbed an equaliser in added time through Luke Gullick on his debut. Gullick showed great awareness to get on the end of Myles Corson’s inch-perfect cross to head home and spark jubilant scenes across the ground and ensure the Dracs would go into half-time all level. But three goals in four minutes after the break from the visitors stunned the Dracs. Eli Phipps grabbed his first in the 59th minute, when he headed home Kofi Rowe’s cross, before the forward picked up his second three minutes later when he prodded home from Jamie Veale’s pass. Edwards, then, grabbed his second and Ponty’s fourth a minute later when he picked up Joshua Stephens pass before lobbing the ball over Harry Johnson and into the back of the net to help Pontypridd United maintain their perfect start to the season.
