Norman Ali Bassam Ali Taher Khalaf-Sakerfalke von Jaffa On Wednesday 08th July 2015, a Senegal Thick-Knee or Stone-Curlew (Burhinus senegalensis Swainson, 1837) was observed and photographed near the fish ponds at Ma’agan Michael Kibbutz, near Jisr az-Zarqa and the Timsah (Taninim) Stream, north Palestine. It is the first record for Palestine and Israel; and the bird was first observed and photographed by the Birder Chen Rozen.
