DP World Decarbonization Strategy

At DP World Dominicana we develop initiatives that allow us to produce much cleaner and more sustainable energy.

We have managed to reduce 5,770,061 TONS OF CO2 which is equivalent to the conservation of 7,584 trees.

MAIN ACTIONS

ECO-FRIENDLY REACH STACKERS

Work on 40% less fuel, representing a significant reduction in carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

100% ELECTRIC GANTRY CRANES

Only emit 332 tons of CO2 per month, instead of the 1,221 tons per month generated by those operating with fossil fuels.

CAU VESSEL VISIT

Technological ecosystem that eliminates the use of paper and reduces the carbon footprint in the docking and undocking process of vessels.

WASTE MANAGEMENT

Separation of waste at the source and adequate temporary storage prior to treatment.

SINGLE-USE PLASTIC

We provide reusable bottles and cutlery to our collaborators.

ELECTRIC TRUCKS

Progressive replacement of electric units. Acquisition of 31 ITV by the end of 2024.

SOLAR PANELS

Increasing the contribution of renewable energy, through on-site photovoltaic generation.

CRANE & RTG SIMULATORS

Used in the training of crane operators and heavy vehicle drivers to reduce combustion and CO2
