ABOUT PUNTA CANA AIR CARGO HUB

The logistics solutions provider DP World and Punta Cana Free Trade Zone (PCFTZ), a Grupo Puntacana company, signed a joint venture agreement for the development of a Logistics Center, with the purpose of creating a multimodal platform for handling air, land, and sea cargo.

This strategic alliance solidifies the Dominican Republic's position as the most important trade and logistics HUB for air and sea cargo in the Caribbean.

PCFTZ, will include a 265,518 m² site and 75 thousand m ² of construction, containing manufacturing facilities and state of the art warehouse for the logistics center and air cargo Terminal Operations.This will create the ideal platform to handle import, export and transshipment cargo for local and regional distribution.

Air Cargo Terminal will be up to 8,460 m²

Internal cold room facility will be up to 2,460 m².

Punta Cana Airport is currently handling around 30 MM kg/year.
