On 6th of May 2019, “Sur Bahaar season-2, a mega school musical event was
interorganized by
Music department of the school. Many schools from across the valley participated in it.
The sheer talent and quality of musical talent possessed by our young children was evident to one and all. The importance of providing exposure to such a luminous galaxy of talent was immensely perceived and applauded by the participating schools. They were impressed by the musical presentations and provided their encouragement and appreciation by acknowledging that the school is the fountainhead of creativity. From Indian classical music (RAAG Gayan) to western music, semi-classical to light and Qawali students provided every performance a unique and special treatment it deserves and hence made the whole event electrifying and a treat to attend. The performances of the participants were highly appreciated by the audience, especially by Principal, Mr Alistair Freese.

Eid is the festival of sharing love, togetherness and feelings with each other. In today's world of What's app and Facbook, our students of class I and II experienced the excitement of sharing their feelings through an old yet most important means of communication. The children visited the General Post Office, Poloview Lalchowk, Srinagar on 7th May,2019 and dropped their beautifully decorated Eid Post cards into the red letter box enthusiastically. The teachers made them understand the various steps of receiving, stamping and dispatching the letters, parcels etc. Now they will be eagerly waiting to receive their post cards at home. It was a great learning experience for the children.

Harvesting the Gifts of Nature Gardening is a healthy, fun activity for children. They develop new skills and learn about science and nature from growing their own food. It was a moment of joy for our Tiny Tots to see the saplings grown into bigger plants which they had planted after they revisited the farmhouse. The little farmers went into two batches as class Ist and 2nd revisited the farmhouse on 28th May and L.K.G and U.K.G joined in on 30th May, 2019. The students eagerly harvested the fruits of labour put in by them on the plantation day a month ago. They harvested the plants of knol-khol,onion and cabbage in abundance in their paper bags carrying forward the initiative of Go green- Go clean. The students received the gifts graciously exploring the freshness of soil and vegetables. The teachers taught students that while harvesting the plants we should remove the yellow leaves and handle plants with care. All the students were excited to visit the farmhouse again and relish the taste of gardening. It was the time of celebration for all the children as they harvested the gifts of nature that was hard earned.
